Gopi's mind and responsibilities are many the least he and his 'mom' could do is reduce her burden by speaking to Jigar and Paridi and take on a few things themselves.

Apart from his capacity, he also feels these are petty issues which Mr & Mrs Jigar Modi can solve. The only consolation is that Kokila overheard the conversation & hope that she will reduce Gopi's burden and give some responsibilities to Paridhi as well.

Hey Xari.. How are you ? I always wonder if Ahem really loves Gopi just the way she loves him... He gets angry, he gets influenced by people, most importantly his mother and he sidelines Gopi not being able to think who Gopi really is.. He never took a stand for her.. we have seen that... Thats why I never got attached to the character Ahem.. it is sad.. Gopi loves him so much... he is her Kanha.. but he never loved her so much I think..

Hope you don't mind if I put my POV across regarding your post.

But...no. I don't think Ahem loves Gopi the way she loves him. Gopi's love has always been unconditional. In the first 2 years of their marriage she never expected anything from him. In fact, throughout the show she has never expected anything from him. Ahem's 'love' on the other hand has always been conditional. He only had the guts to 'confess his love' when he realised how he got her pregnant. When their daughter was supposed dead, he sank into his own state of depression. Not once did he think he needed to turn around and support his wife. She disappeared for 8 years and not once did he think to go find her. When Ahem found out Meera was their daughter, only then did he eventually drop his anger, apologise and accept Gopi back into his life. And even then he had to show some attitude before he had the guts to apologise. Plus it was the kids who provided him with a romantic setting.

When Kokila was for and Gopi was against Paridhi, he supported his mother.
When Kokila was against and Gopi was for Paridhi, he supported his mother.

So to me as a viewer Ahem's love is like this: as long as my kids are in my life and you worship the earth my mother walks on, Gopi I love you. However, if you do not meet the above conditions, I don't wanna know you.

Thanks.

Honestly I loved this show so much during the first 2 years. I ended up expecting so much regarding the characters. Initially Ahem was gradually becoming closer to Gopi through every situation they were going through. But I think it went all downhill from the forgetting Holi SR incident. Since then, Ahem's character was destroyed for me. Now pretty much every character is destroyed, but I was expecting so much more from him. And it all came down to nothing.

The least the writers could have done was given Ahem a proper repentance track. 😒

Ahem tells Gopi that he cannot sleep without her & cannot even dream of living without her. He further says that she is the part & parcel of his life & says that he does not have any identity without her but he does not implement that when it matters the most.

I still hope that Gopi's dedication & devotion to Ahem dosen't go in vain & start with a new leaf after Kokila told Ahem that he should not shout at Gopi or be upset with her when she does good.

Yes totally... I am sure Gopi's dedication wont reduce even a small bit... she is devoted to Ahem.. I understand Ahem respects his mom a lot, loves a lot which is definitely good, but that does not mean he disrespects his wife..
Even during Meera's incident, Kokila blamed Gopi and he nodded his head for everything his mom said.. Never thought once that how could Gopi do and never tried to understand her..SO For me, it is just that love at convenience for him..😡

Same here... it started off so well and what they have made of it... The men of MM have no dialogues, no involvement in family issues.. It is all the ladies... 😆
Even the holi Sr thing was like... ... he did not know what he did.. and then when he comes to know he will be a father, he starts to love her more..😡

Ahem started getting closer to Gopi only when he was making Gopi study. He had fallen for her without his knowledge. He did not realize that till Anita came back. He had expressed his love for Gopi when he had played Holi with her. Normally, he hated that festival. But he played Holi on that occasion. He never liked a bright color shirt. Gopi had presented him a blue shirt on his birthday when she went with Anita to get a gift for him. Although Anita knew his taste and brought the shirt with the color of his choice, he did not wear the shirt which Anita gave him. He didn't even realize that he had changed after the Holi incident.

As for Ahem's confession of love to Gopi during her pregnancy, I would say that it was a co-incidence. Expressing your love towards that person need not always be verbal immediately. Even though he was caring for her that itself is a gesture of love. Initially he did not say it verbally but he had expressed it through gestures. It was at the peak till Meera's drowning incident.

I thought that he would support Gopi & find out the truth but it didn't happen. The writers can give a proper repentance track to Ahem at least now.😉
