Gopi was welcomed by everyone in MM. Prabal liked Parag a lot but he was scared of Kokila and would try to run away from her at the earliest opportunity. He would, however enquire about his "dad"...this irritated Ahem, he felt stabbed everytime that kid called Anand dad. Ahem was trying to make him call him dad but it seemed fruitless so far. Ahem was not the one to give up and persevered.

Gopi asked Prabal to call Ahem Papa instead of Dad and she told Ahem that the kid would soon forget Anand. This way he would forget the man he called "dad".

The plan worked on Prabal, but not on Gopi. Anand's words still haunted her. Did he or didn't he? A corner of her heart told her that he was too dignified to do it...but then didn't Ahem do it to Gopi too? Who knows how many skeletons are in Anand's closet. Gopi wanted to go to Bihar and investigate the truth, Ahem flatly told no. He raised concern over Anand's henchmen or rivals creating trouble for her. Gopi had to give in to Ahem's demand. She stayed quiet...but not for long.

The change was brought about by an email sent to her by a woman called Asma Jabeen - Anand's lawyer. Apparently Anand had requested her to contact Gopi. A few emails and a call later, Gopi found out the real story. Yes, Anand did hide things from her, but none of them were shameful ones. Anand was youngest of the three children of a wealthy landlord and led a pleasant life...until... the henchmen of a rival group abducted his sister Soumyata and killed her.

This incident caused indescribable pain to the whole family. Those were the dark days of one-upmanship, vendetta and private armies. His brother Suveer killed the mastermind and obtained vengeance. This started a gory story... a blood feud had started and very soon Suveer became its victim. Anand's parents forced him to leave their town...he had to flee to save his life...and he fled. Rivals took opportunity of his flight and slapped a false case on him. The girl's drug- addict uncle was given a good sum and he forced the girl into lying. The girl fearing for her life complied with her uncle...but she and her uncle were found murdered in their house after a few days, they were killed so that the truth may never come out again.

Anand respected women and he wasn't the demon he was made out to be. Gopi cried for some time but then a steely resolve to save Anand overcame her.

Ahem didn't like the fact that Gopi now knew the truth. He was the one who tipped off police after unearthing this bit of information about Anand's past.

Btw, did Ahem's family accept Gopi in total ? What abt Gopi.. has she accepted her old family & or she has compromised for the sake of her only son., coz, I know "Love of a mother for her kids is more powerful than her own needs "

With all the recent unfoldings, I really doubt Gopi has any feelings for Ahem / Anand.. she is just trying to fulfill her responsibilties towards both the relations which unknowingly she has entered.

Gopi contemplated the actions she must take now and she finally came to the conclusion that she must help Anand...even if other reasons are set aside, the fact that he had helped her in her time of distress is enough for her to be by his side in his time of need. She leaves Prabal at MM and leaves for Patna. Ahem was not happy with Gopi's decision but he had no choice. Gopi let him accompany her on the condition that he would return after a few days because the legal procedures would drag on.

Anand was lodged in Patna's infamous Beur jail . Gopi was joined by Anand's lawyer Asma near the jail. They had a discussion and then Gopi asked permission to meet Shashank Sinha (Anand's real name). Gopi woke up to reality when an official asked how is she related to the undertrial. She found it difficult to say that she was his wife ( if Anand was her husband then who was the man waiting for her in the taxi?).

Gopi came a bit too late because she was informed soon that Anand has committed suicide in his cell. This development shocked Gopi, Anand was never the one who would commit suicide. Gopi suspected foul play.

Anand was to be cremated that day so his family was called to Patna. Anand's dad didn't seem grief stricken at the death of his last surviving child,he was accompanied by a pretty woman who turned out to be his second wife. He had remarried after his first wife died under mysterious conditions last month. He refused to believe that some foul play was involved and claimed that his son had always exhibited suicidal tendencies.

Gopi didn't know whom to trust, Anand's father was a man who was heartless enough to remarry within a month of his wife's death under suspicious conditions...and he didn't seem shaken by his son's death. Was he in cahoots with the murderers? Or did his enemies kill Anand and this man was merely exhibiting a stiff upper lip?

Gopi was confused. Ahem advised her to return to Rajkot, but she refused. Her concern for Anand hurt Ahem. He now wished that he had never tipped off the police when he came to know that Anand was a proclaimed absconder. It pained him to see that Gopi was determined to bring Anand's killers to justice. Had he not mistreated her during the early days of their marriage then Anand would never have entered her life.

The drama didn't end here. A woman came forward claiming to be Anand's wife. She claimed that they got married seven years ago and have a son.
