Thank you to all that loved the update and sorry for the delay but I was being extremely busy and atfer this update will be away for a while, nothing to worry just travelling so i will try and close most of the loop holes. Enjoy
CHAPTER 19:
Upon seeing the Modi brothers Sanjay started to fumed but controlled himself knowing he was a guest too. Sara explained that they were their to discuss some designs they want made for their family. She then excused herself to finish up the meal leaving her guest alone with the hope that all will be settled.
The whole living room was dead silent as the three men decided to stay mute until Ahem having had enough said " Sanjay am sorry and that's all I can offer for what I have done to your sister and if I can rewind the clock I honestly will handle thing differently."
" Let me assure you one thing Ahem and that is if I find my sister the first thing I will do is get her divorce from you as you do not deserve her so forget about clock being rewind and pray that I do not find her." Sanjay uttered which made Ahem fumed and busted at him " how dare you even think of separating us. She is mine and will be always and we are bonded in holy matrimony and you will do no such thing as I will not allow you to even be near her and remember Sanjay she knows me more than you and will forgive me and will choose to stay with me ."
" Bhai please I know both of you are angry but is this the most sensible way to resolve your anger. You too should think how bhabi will feel when she is made to choose. Sanjay she will be on cloud nine to see you and would want to know you and bhai I know bhabi loves you so rather than thinking of her you both are behaving selfishly and tearing her apart." Retorted Jigar and then added " bhai I think you two need to talk so I would suggest you used the privacy of Sara's garden and please only talk so bhai I have some things I want to sort out and will use your car and will come to pick you up later." Before leaving he went and appologize to Sara about leaving and to keep an eye on the two hitlers in her garden.
" Am sorry once again and I think Jigar is right this is not about us but her. We both love her differently and want her to be happy so for her best interest am willing to corporate with you Sanjay and yes your anger is justified but I hated myself more for what I have done. There is not a day that i did not regret. To be honest, I vented my anger at her because of how weak I was feeling towards her. I was falling for her and did not like loosing control which I was unable to to with her around me being sweet and nice. I now love her dearly and would not want to be separated from her again and I hope you understand this Sanjay."
" Well am sorry too for being harsh but for my sister's sake I will do anything. By the way how's your search and I've also being doing my search and talking of which am going to see my maamaji tomorrow."
" What! how did you locate him? Ahem asked
" Like I said I've been busy searching for my family and have found the address of maamaji's house."
"Listen Sanjay I have to tell you that you need not meet your uncle now because Gopi... I mean ah mmm I 've...
" Ahemji! you are hear, I left you a message saying that I won't be home as I have to rush and see my Abdul paa urgently but you are not picking up so I left a voice." Ahem wished the ground would swallow him as right now he did not know what to say to either of them and was stirring at her as if she were a ghost. " Are you ok Ahemji and hope Sara told you were I was. Anyway it does not matter and you must be Sanjay, Sara's friend."
" Yes " and was intently looking at her as if she is familiar not knowing that Ahem was too looking from one to the other and counting the moment when he be ousted out.
" Well any friend of Sara is mine too and it's a pleasure to meet you Sanjayji and by the way my name is..."
"Dinner is ready" Sara interrupted upon seeing Ahem's state new he still has not said anything to Sanjay about Gopi and Sanjay might hate her too for keeping it from him
" Oh Hamida you are back and how was your dad, hope all was well". Glaring at Ahem for putting her in the position and who in turn was quietly thanking her. " Fine" she said
Sanjay was confused and disgusted at Ahem as not long ago he was claiming to be in love with his sister and now he seems to be involved with " what her name again, whatever it is she seems nice and decent and not the type to break a family. She also looks young probably a bit younger than Sara. If nothing is going on between them then what the catch. These Modis are full of it and the less I get into their affairs the better for me, he thought.
They all went in and had their meal silently whilst in the mean time Sanjay feels drawn to Hamida. He likes her character a lot as when they were seated she insisted that Sara sit with them and she does the dishing starting with Ahem, which bug him as he can understand how such a wonderful girl fall for arrogant Ahem Modi.
With the dinner being so quiet, Sara wondered whether she made the right decision of putting all three before they really know each other and if at any point in time the truth came out then how is she going to handle the situation but before her thoughts can go further her nightmares stated when...
" Bhabi!" exclaimed Jigar upon seeing Gopi after a long time. He could not hold his tears and rush towards Gopi and stopped inches away from her and looked at her and then hug her saying" bhabi I miss you so much and I thought I will not see you again. The whole family misses you but how could you do that to me as I thought we were friends at least you could have told me but believe me all were sad of your departure and the worst affected is bhai."
Ahem could not believe his ears and could not bring himself to look at Sanjay who was piercing his questioning eyes at him but since the truth is out he has to tell him but how when his brother's senseless timing has dug his grave. What about Gopi how will she believe him now. Then came the blow " bhai your are right Gopi bhabi has changed but am sure the whole family will accept the new her and...". he stopped when he saw Sanjay and knew what he has done and could not face his brother's anger.
For what felt like lifetime the room went dead silent with only Gopi looking confused and looking from one person to the other and finally Ahem found courage and walked towards her and held her hands and with tears in his eyes and guilt written in them he said " Gopi I have something important to tell you and remember that night I told you that...
" Wow Ahem Modi the great. I thought you were a gentleman at least but turned out to be a snake in a lion's disguise. What was your intention,to keep her all to yourself by hook or crook. My hatrate for you has risen and to be honest you don't deserve her and happiness because you do not know what it means to love or be happy. You are such a connieving cheat and liar and you deserve hell for...
" Enough Mr Sanjay Singhania. I respect you because you are Saraben's friend and I maintain my word when I did say to you before that her friend is mine but not when you cross your limit. This man you are cursing is my husband that right my husband and I did not give you any permission to insult him in any manner. In business you might have your differences but my Ahemji is kind,loving respectful and a wonderful person and please for the sake of being Saraben's friend do not make me say any further and therefore I would kindly ask you to leave". Gopi thundered leaving all stunned and ashamed and did not know what to say.
Sanjay was gobsmacked looking at his younger sister and being insulted by her on their first meeting. He had flash back of when they were young how he thought her to alphabets, bought her ice creams, danced with her and even braided her ponytails and now she is throwing her out of her house for her husband's sake. His teary eyes were begging for her to look at him and see their resemblance but when she was not he stormed off and Sara knew ran after him but he got in his car and drove off.
Sara came back angry and bluntly said " Gopi what was the need to say all that to Sanjay. He was my guest and to sent him out like that was wrong of you." " Saraben I know that I've hurt your feelings but that man was insulting Ahemji and I could not control myself, I know you like him but what he to did was wrong. But am sorry for hurting you." and ran off to her room crying as she felt too that she should not have said that to him as he was a guest and it's not her nature but she could not stand and watch her husband humiliated.
" This is a bloody mess. Ahem you had ample time to tell Sanjay so what were you two talking all that time, business. Now how am I to face him,he might think we all planned it together. Listen Ahem this is your mess and before it spirals please sort it out."
" Bhai am sorry when I saw bhabi I just could not hold my emotions and..."
"It's ok Jigar. You take the car and go home and I will see you in the office tomorrow. Am sorry Sara about the whole thing but if you both will excuse me please."
He knock at her door and when there is no answer he went in and saw her face down crying and knew she felt bad with her behaviour as it's her first confrontation. He heart was hurting as he is the cause and was ready for the consequency but not to loose her again. "Gopi!,Gopi!" she raised her head from the bed and ran to him and cried " am sorry Ahemji I should not have said all that to him and now Saraben's relationship will be in trouble because of me. I ..I .. just..you.. humuliated..Ahemji.." Ahem held her tighter stroking her hair to calm her down and telling her that it's not her fault and that he will talk to Sanjay and sort things out.
He held her there for a while and when felt that she has stopped crying, lifted her head and told her that they need to talk seriously. She thought that it was about moving back and flinched and moved out of his arms and went and sat on the bed." Ahemji I know you want me to move back soon but am not sure maaji will accept me now especially if she knows I left on my own accord."
" Gopi it's ok and I want you to take your time and as for mum, she will be fine with the new external you as you as the same inside yes you are bolder and more confident but it's gonna be ok but what I really want us to talk about is Sanjay and nothing to do with tonight."
He came and sat next to her and cruddle her as he knew his information about her brother will shatter her completely especially after what she said.
" Am very proud of you and you should not feel guilty about tonight and to be honest I like that you stood by me and therefore I know now you have completely forgiven me and love me and will stand by me with each passing hardship and happiness as my pillar ans strength. So please Gopi I know it will be hurtful but it's not your fault."
" I want to ask you some personal things and I want you to trust me please and if you feel that it's too much then we will stop." Gopi was now feeling nervous with his statements but nodded in agreement.
What do you remember of your family. She shook since his question took her off guard and tears flow her cheeks with the little puzzles she sees. But told him what his maamaji told her about her family. " So you new all along that your parents did not die on your birthday yet you said so why." Not wanting to put Rashi in trouble she said that's because I remember them on that day the most." Ahem did not believe that but let it go all the same
" You see the thing is when the accident happened no one found your brother and all assumed him dead but the truth is Gopi ammm.. your brother is in fact alive." He watched to see if she heard him properly and her reaction and when he got none he repeat Gopi I just told you that your brother is alive. He still got no reply and lifted his head off hers and notices she was silently cryinging.
" Gopi please do not cry as your tears are my weakness. We will leave this for now ..."
"Ahemji I know my brother is alive." he was stunned and shocked as to who told her and them told him " maamaji told me. When I went to see Abdul papa, I accidentally met maamaji and he told me eveything about how you never gave up on looking for me and how you found Sanjay. Maamaji thought that you told me but when I arrive to tell Sara about it I found you all here and knew that you have not told him about me yet and I remember you wanted to surprise me so I pretended not to know but Ahemji when he started to blast at you I could not hold myself and watch you insulted by him. I now know he is my brother but we have been raised differently and who knows what he has been through as well. I wanted to meet my family but not at the cost of my husband."
Ahem was astonished at her maturity. He new she was hurting deeply and has long to see her brother and now she is devastated at how they met." God help me to bring the two as both has been through enough."
" Please Gopi do not be disheartened and as for your brother, he is a good man and has been looking for you since the time he knew you were alive. He came to find you in Rajkot but was told that you have moved to Delhi when you were young and that's where he was searching for you ever since. Please don't be too harsh on yourself as am feeling your pain. At the moment you feel torn between two people you love but it does not have to be this way and we will sort it out. Sanjay knows about us and what happened between us and therefore as a protective brother was looking out for your interest and to be honest I envy you two. See you still are not formally introduced and still have that love and care for each other whereas I have been so negligent towards my siblings even though we grew up together. Please for my sake don't close your heart to him."
Gopi was crying all the while and both hug and each went to their own thoughts thinking of what happened and how to resolve it.
