So Aham is going to hold a fast for Gopi 😆 and the Teej ritual of giving the saree worked just how it should have done if they were a real couple.

Part 13

Ahem goes to the office still thinking about Gopi, he had decided he was going to make it home on time so she wouldn't have to wait to break her fast, but what she doesn't know was he was also determined not to eat until she ate, and that was his first step in gaining her trust. But of course things don't work always work out like you plan it.

Just before he was due to go home, there was a problem with one his clients, and he had to meet with them, that meant he was not going to make it home on time

At the MM its almost time for pooja and Ahem was not there yet, Koki is getting worried. Ahem was not back even when it was time to do pooja this upset Koki, all the other ladies finish there rituals with their husbands, Gopi stands to side does her pooja by herself in the mandir, she was already expecting him to not show up, even though he was there for the sari rituals, after the pooja all the other couples go to the dinning hall to eat, Gopi stays at the Mandir, she starts to put things away and when she finishes she goes to her room, she was not feeling well. After a while the whole MM is quiet, everyone goes to their room, as Koki is walking by Gopi's room she notices Gopi sitting on the bed, with her head bent, she goes to her and say Gopi, are you ok, don't be stubborn lets go down so you can eat, you won't even let me call Ahem, I don't know what is wrong with him, he doesn't even care that someone is waiting on him.

Gopi tells Koki that when Jigar was going up, he told her about the client meeting and also that Ahemji also did not eat lunch, I will wait for little while. Just then Ahem comes in and says sorry mom I could not avoid the meeting, He looks at Gopi and sees that she is not feeling well, he tells her he will return after he freshens up, she nods her head. Koki tell her to go down and get food ready for both of them and ask Mani to help her to bring it to Ahem's room, when Gopi tries to say something she tell her you are both tired, just do this it will be easier, and try to rest afterwards.

Gopi goes down and brings the food up with Mani's help, they set the food out on the table in front of the sofa. Mani leaves, Ahem comes out of the bathroom, wearing his blue sherwani (the one he wore when they slept on the roof top mmmmmmmmm he looked good in it, very sexy). He is surprised to see Gopi there with the food, they both look at each other, Ahem thinking she looked beautiful in her green and maroon sari, Gopi thinking he really looked good in blue, her favorite color, (Goham BG music, la la la la........) finally they both feel little shy and look away.

Ahem comes towards her and says I could have come down you didn't have to bring the food, Gopi says its ok, you looked tired so maji said we should just eat here.

Ahem goes to her and stands in front of her, he takes the water glass from the table and offers it to her, she looks at him, he says you didn't break your fast yet, he puts the glass to her lips, she takes a small sip of water.

They both sit on the sofa, gopi take a plate and takes some food in a spoon and offers it to him, he says you first, she says no, you didn't eat all day also so you eat first, Ahem takes food in a another spoon and offers it to her, the feed each other the first bite, feeling shy again the both take their plates and start to eat.

They had just finish eating when Mani comes to take the dishes, Gopi offers to come help her but she says no, Koki had told her not to let you come down again, you haven't slept well in few days, Ahem who was just coming out of the bathroom after washing his hands, hears this and gets worried and looks at Gopi, and sees that she really looked tired, he again thinks about the conversation between his parents about her nightmares and thinks may be that's why she has not slept well. Mani leaves, Gopi starts to leave right behind her but Ahem stops her.

He says to her Gopi you look tired, why don't you sleep here tonight, if you have a bad dream I will be here, you won't have to be alone. Gopi hesitates, about to say no, but he stops her saying I promise I won't do anything, I just want you to get some sleep, next few days are going to be busy, and you need to get your rest.

Gopi thinking he is right, and she needed to sleep otherwise she will be ill like before, she says to him she will go change. After awhile she comes back in the green simple sari (same one from the rooftop sleep over), no make up. Ahem was sitting on the bed, he gets up and goes to her and takes her hand, she looked very nervous, he squeezes her hand to reassure her and takes her to the right side of the bed he helps her to lay down and covers her, he goes on the other side and turns the light off and lays beside her. He wanted to hold her in his arms, but he knew she would shy away, so stayed still until she fell asleep, he then turned on his side and put his arm around her and brought her closer to him and finally slept.

Thanks for updating Shilpa, yep both fasting for each other, you know what i would have enjoyed if you made Aham fast for Gopi's life and wellbeing and make Gopi not fast for Aham. As Gopi has had a nervous breakdown and recovered sufficiently to guard her heart against more pain, remembering what happened on Teej the previous year, she will want to guard against any opportunity of allowing Aham to hurt her feelings, that's why she is not looking at him during the pooja right? So it would stand to reason that she would not fast this time to have no expectation that he would return home to break her fast for her, as during her nervous breakdown she must have replayed again and again that phone conversation he made to her of how insignificant she was to him and him not wanting to play the charade of breaking her fast for her, during Teej.

Very nice update and story line Shilpa. I like your ideas very much. Looking forward for more.

@Nafisa_blossoms, I thought about not letting Gopi fast, but I thought that the way Gopi's personality is and her belief in Kanaji and Indian tradition would not let her not fast, she would eventually feel bad, that is why i made her fast, but no expectations, Ahem has long way to go yet to prove his feelings, he will hurt her more with his carless words, before things start going smoothly, meanwhile Gopi is not going to give in easily.

Part 14

Gopi wakes up next morning feeling rested, but confused, she is thinking this is not my room, then fully wakes up and remembers the events of the night before, she gets nervous knowing she is in Ahems arms, but reluctant to get up because it felt so good being held by him. How many night had she dreamed of this, from the first moment she met him she has loved him. When she was living with her mami, she used to dream of a prince coming to rescue her, but when her prince came and she got to know him she realized he was not for her, he belonged to someone else, remembering this she slowly move his arms from around her and leaves the room

Ahem had been awake for a while and he could practically predict what she was thinking, he knows he has long way ahead him to convince her that he had feelings for her. She is nor ready to believe that what he felt for Anita was just an infatuation, not love, he thought Anita was perfect for him, but she was nothing but a greedy woman who only wanted him for his money and his name. He is thinking all the wasted time. He gets up and goes to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

Gopi in her room getting ready, thinking about events of the night before, and having regrets, she should have never spent the night in his room, she does not want to start having expectations from his again, and fall into the same trap, she cannot let herself forget that he loves somone else, not her, she should remember this always,

As she comes out of the room she sees Rashi coming towards her she ignores Rashi and keeps going down, Rashi thinking how long are you going to ignore me, you are only here temporary, I will have them kick you out again, I have to talk to mom.

Gopi goes down and starts preparing aarti, every one come down and stand behind her, she does the aarti and offers it everyone, when she gets to Ahem, she does not look at him, he is staring hard at her but not once does she look at him. He takes a deep breath and thinks, what did I expect, for her to go back to being her old self again, No this Gopi was lot stronger than that, he realizes he is going to have gain her trust first.

Gopi is in the kitchen preparing breakfast, Rashi peeks thru the door and sees that she is by herself she look around to make sure everyone is busy in the dining room and comes into the kitchen. She comes to Gopi and starts taunting her saying, so Gopi are you enjoying your self, well don't get too comfortable, you are only here temporary, you know your Ahemji is still in love with his Anita. Gopi don't respond, Rashi is surprised Gopi did not look hurt and tries again, to says after all you are only here until Kinjle's wedding after that you will be gone again

Gopi finally, stop your chattering I am not intrested in listening to you, beside instead of worrying about me worry about yourself, you may only be here temporary also, so mind your own business and don't worry about me, oh and another thing don't try to blame things on me, because I will no longer be protecting you, soon as you do somthing to try to get me in trouble I will tell the truth to whole family

Rashi getting mad saying you ungreatful wench, after what my family did for you how dare you talk back to me, Gopi says how dare you and your mom did nothing but only reason you kept me was because your mom wanted my father's pension money and a servant which she got me, but no more, I have repaid more than enough for getting me out of the orpahnage, but no more I don't owe you or your mother anything, in fact you owe me so watch your step.

The whole family had come to stand in the kitchen hearing loud noise and everyone is shocked, Ahem tries to go in the kitchen but Koki stops him, she know Gopi can take care of herself and next words confirmed it

Gopi says why are you surprised, didn't your mother tell you that she told me that night that we were not even related, that she lied to get me out of the orphanage. You mother is nothing but a lying, cheating women.

Rashi really mad now says how dare you call my mother a cheater and raises her hand to hit Gopi, but Gopi hold her hand and says don't you dare raise your hand to me, you are not talking to the old innocent, naieve Gopi, I am lot stronger than I look, I am telling you for the last time don't underestimate me and mind your own business.

Koki and Ahem looking at Gopi proudly for standing up for herself. Hetal, Jiagar and Chirag looking sad and regretting their decision to bring Rashi in the house. Jigar goes in the kitchen and goes to Rashi and drags her out of the kitchen to take her to their room.

Everyone goes back to dinning room, Koki comes in the Kitchen and goes to Gopi holds her hand and says I am so proud of you today, I knew you were the perfect DIL for this family and now I know you can handle anything that life will throw at you.

In RaJI room, Jigar drags, Rashi in the room and throws her on the bed, she starts saying Jigarji, how dare you treat me like this (as they say: Rassi jal gayee par bal nahi gaya, (the rope is burnt, but stregth still there) I hope that's right saying), Jigar saying no you listen, we've had enough of you, I have decided you will leave this house after Kinjle's wedding and don't even think about trying to ruin that because you will regret it, you only seem me as nice, but if you don anything to try to ruin my family or try to do anything to Gopi bhabhi again I will not spare you remember this, he then leaves

Rashi is fuming, thinking how dare they treat me like this, I will not leave them, but the time we do our kalakari you won't be able to kick me out of this house, saying this she calls her mom.
