SHOT-10

Aham was getting frustrated with every passing minute. He knew vey well that it was his payback time but never thought Gopi would torture him like this. He was on cloud 9 when initially she asked him to come with her but now he cursed the moment he said yes.

It's almost a week and half after his engagement and he hardly got any time to spend with his beloved fiance. Kinjal's marriage took place the day after their engagement followed by reception.

Those two days he hardly got to talk to her except for drooling over her from far. She looked more beautiful than ever may be because of the engagement that took place. It gave him immense pleasure whenever he thought about it.

Later it was the project which kept him apart from her for a week. Only he knew how exasperating it was to see the people around him killing him with questions while he longed to see the face of his beloved.

Finally he came back and the got a major blow, then he understood the reason behind his parents' stay there. He was the only one who went away. His parents and Jigar were still in Surat and why he had little idea.

He whined like a small kid but none was bothered that just frustrated him more. When he reached Gopi's place in Surat, it surprised him to see the building still swathed elegantly in flowers and lights.

A week passed by Kinjal's marriage and she left for in-laws. All the post-marriage rituals were done. Confused he walked in and saw people engaged in some or other work. No one even bothered to look at him and even if they did they pretended like they didn't exist.

It was then he saw her. She came down yelling.

"Maaa.. ye kya ho raha hai?"

Yea exactly, thought Aham. It wondered him why Gopi was asking such a question when he had to. The next question had his head spinning.

"Shaadi meri hai.. lekin koi meri baat hi nahi manta' this is not fair.. Kash yahaan Aham hota'. Usse meri choti si choti pasand ka khayal hai'. lekin aap log'. Maa mujhe seriously woh saree pasand nahi aayi' mujhe doosra chahiye.."

Gopi pleaded with Hetal getting hold of Hetals' pallu and fidgeting with it.

"Shaadi'" Aham said aloud grabbing everyone's attention.

"Ahammmm" Gopi shrieked before running and landing herself in his arms.

Aham was elated to feel her in his arms after a week but wait he had things to know. The whole family made strange noises indicating their presence there.

Gopi shyly broke out of the hug. She smiled seeing the confused expression on his face. She crossed her arms.

"Toh kaise laga mera surprise Mr. Modi?" Gopi asked raising her eyebrows.

"Acha.. toh isiliye kal raat ko itna excite ho rahi thi' tumhare liye surprise hai jaldi aao.. and all.. Gopi tum toh mein"

Before he could get a hold of her, she ran away from there. They kept running around making the family members hit their heads.

Finally Kokila stopped them.

"Hey bhagwaan.. ab toh tum dono ki shaadi hone jaa rahi hai.. kuch toh sudar jao.. agar aise hi ladte jagadte rahe ho.. toh mein ghar mein rehne nahi doongi.." Kokila admonished them.

"Arre wah Kokila tum inhe sajah suna rahi ho ya tofha de rahi ho.. tumhe kya lagta hai isse inpe koi asar hoga.. ulta ye dono aur ladai na kare taaki dono akele mein reh sake' shaanti se ek door ke pass bina koi kabab mein haddi ke.."

Hetal winked at them while both lowered their heads in embarrassment.

Whenever Aham called to talk to Gopi everyone used to disturb her, irritating both of them. So yesterday when Aham called her up the umpteenth time out of frustration Aham said,

"Kya hai Gopi? Humesha koi na koi kabab mein haadi ki tarah pounch jaa hai' thodi der shaanti se hume baat kyun nahi karne dete.."

And to his misfortune it was Hetal who was on line. Gopi was along with Hetal and Kokila selecting sarees when Hetal snatched the phone from her hand and picked it up, putting it on loud speaker.

She broke into laughter, handing the phone to Gopi who felt awkward to land in such a situation in front of her mother and mother-in-law. She scolded Aham for his impatience after letting him know that it was Hetal on line.

"Aham hota toh.. yeh karta.. woh karta.. lo aagaya tera Aham.." Kokila pushed a blushing Gopi into Aham's arms.

They were teased for some more minutes after which Aham ended his silence.

"ab bohut hogaya.. koi mujhe batayega bhi ki meri shaadi kab hai??" Aham raised his eyebrows eying everyone.

"Hume kya pooch raha hai.. tumhari hone wali biwi se pooch.. aakir usne hi toh finalize kiya tha'"

Parag answered his question with a smirk.

Gopi distanced herself from Aham a little before telling him,

"Aham.. woh.. woh.. shaadi 4 din baad hai.."

"whaaaaaaaaaaat?????"

Aham just blinked his eyes in shock.

"Shaadi chaar din hai aur mujhe ab bataya jaa raha hai!!!!!!!!!!" Aham yelled at them.

"It's k na Aham bhai.. Muhurat se pehle toh nahi kaha na jao beta magalsutra pehna do.."

Jigar winked at him while Aham glared at him causing him to shut his mouth.

"Shut up Jigar.. Aham tum chalo mere saath.."

Gopi held his arm and dragged her along with him. They were in Gopi's room. Gopi shut the door behind them.

"Gopi ye sab kya hai?" Aham asked her with a serious face.

"Payback" Gopi just told a word before cornering him to a wall.

"Gopiii"

"Kyaa Gopi.. tumhe kya laga sirf tum mujhe surprises de sakte ho.." Gopi winked at him.

"Acha.. aur'" Aham said inching his face close to hers..

"Aur kuch nahi" Gopi turned to leave sensing the naughtiness in his expressions.

Before she could leave, he grabbed her wrist and twirled her in his arms. He walked forward till her back hit the wall and then placed his hands on both sides of the wall, giving her no opportunity of escape.

"Ahammm"

She couldn't speak any further as his lips moved for hers. She gave in his demands and started to pull him closer.

Her hands entwined them around his neck while his were wrapped around her waist. They missed each other like hell and it was all evident in their kiss.

They broke apart after sometime to breathe in some air and Gopi embraced him tightly. Their moment was disturbed by the knock on the door.

After checking themselves in mirror that they were ok. Gopi went to open the door. As soon as opened their mothers barged in,

"waise hum dono kabab mein haddi toh nahi bana chahte lekin kya karein.."

Hetal said trying to suppress her laughter.

"Aunty.. sorry galti hogayi.. ab chod bhi dijiye.."

Aham said standing in between Kokila and Hetal putting his hands over their shoulders. Hetal hit him on arm..

"Ouch.. ye kisliye tha??" Aham said rubbing his arm.

"Aunty kisse keh raha hai??" Hetal gave him an angry look.

"Tu 16 saal ki jawan ladki nahi hai.. teri beti ki shaadi hone wali hai.. tujhe aunty nahi toh aur kya bolenge?" Kokila said making a face.

"Tu chup reh.. humesha taang lada thi rehti hai.. tu apni hone wali bahu se maa kehelwa sakti hai toh kya mein aapne damad ko maa kehne ko bol nahi sakti??" Hetal answered her.

"Acha.. toh phir seedhe seedhe bol sakti haina.." Kokila told her.

Aham and Gopi eyed each other and Gopi held out her hand for her. Aham placed his in hers and they were about to move away.

"Rukhoo'"

They turned back when they heard their mothers shout.

"Masti wasti baad mein karlena.. pehle tum dono apne kapde aur jo bhi saari cheezein hai woh pehle tayaar karlo" They both told them together.

Aham and Gopi nodded their heads and left from there.

"Aham.. hum shopping chalein.. please' dekho na ek bhi cheez mere pasand ka nahi liya.. please'" Gopi pouted.

Aham could agree to whatever Gopi asked. He nodded his head placing a kiss on her cheek and then earning a kiss from her.

Now here he was catching bags, running from one shop to another but now everything was worth it when he saw Gopi came out dressed in the lehenga he picked it for marriage.

Words were failing him to describe how she looked then and his look was enough to tell her that she was looking great. She didn't his words to tell her now she looked. That expression of his told her everything.

They bought a matching sherwani and then went to a restaurant. They had a great time feeding each other and dancing.

One by one the pre-wedding ceremonies took place amidst their family members. They enjoyed every bit of their wedding. They tried to sneak out whenever they got chance but were got ultimately and had to undergo punishment for the same.

Ultimately they got married and lived happily ever after.
