Sorry for the delay.. Here's a long update..

PART-8

She rubbed her eyes to make sure that she wasn't hallucinating which she felt she was doing since Aham came.

Jo yeh badaliyan

She came down the stairs her eyes searching for him and there he stood in a corner well acquainted with the fact that her gaze was on him. She understood from the look on his face that it was definitely his work.

He raised his head and winked at her. He silently communicated to come and stand beside him.

She did as she was directed. They stood beside each other, slowly entwining their hands and then slowly slipped out of the house together into the garden.

Woh de aahatein

Kareeb se

To bole khwaishein ke aaj kal

They got seated in the swing which was the witness of their friendship since childhood. They sat there silently hands still holding on the others.

After few seconds the silence broke when Aham raised their entwined hands and brought her hands close to his face and kissed the love symbol which was in the middle of her hands with A&G stylishly embedded.

She then understood that it wasn't her dream or hallucination but he was beside her when the lights went off and he did the design in the gap that designer left her. She couldn't make out why there was empty space in the middle of her hand when the designer ended the design and now everything seemed clear to her.

Zindagi har ek pal

Har ek pal se chahe

Haye jiska dil hua

She hugged him placing a kiss on his cheek. Aham smiled pulling her even closer. She broke the hug blushing. Aham kissed her forehead. She was about to run away when Aham caught hold of her wrist.

She stopped there when she felt that he had left her hand. Confused she turned back to see him on knees holding out the ring for her.

Bahara bahara

Hua dil pehli baar vee

She turned to face him with hands crossed across her chest. He flashed a charming smile on his face holding out the ring for her.

"Gopiiii'."

He called her lovingly which made her close her eyes trying to sink in the fact that this was finally happening. He smiled to himself and then very casually he let out

"I think it's about time you marry me"

Gopi opened her eyes in shock only to find him suppressing his giggles. She left from there stomping her foot while Aham laughed like hell.

Bahara bahara

Ki chain to hua faraar vee

Here she was dying to hear those 3 words and he was hell-bent on teasing her and having fun in that. Was that a proposal??? She had to do something. He came in after her with a teasing smile on his face. How badly she wanted to remove the smirk on his face.

Bahara bahara

She loved the way he obliquely confessed her although their hearts know the same since times immemorial. She looked at her hands where A&G was embellished and smiled but then he's still not letting it out through his mouth.

She frowned narrowing her eyes on him while he winked at her. Oh God! Why does he have to be so mischievous? She was sure that she was missing out something.

Soyi soyi palkon pe chal ke

Meri sapno ki khidki pe aa gaya

She stood with few of her cousins and Kinjal's friends who were gossiping about b'wood and all. She was least bothered about what they were saying. Her only concentration was on Aham happily greeting and enjoying the company of people whomsoever her dad was introducing.

Aate jaate phir mere dil ke,

Inn haathon mein woh khat pakda gaya

She stared at him forgetting the surroundings around her and all of a sudden he turned to her and winked at her and then resumed back to his talks.

She stopped her staring session and went to her room. As soon as she got in she saw a bouquet of red roses placed in the hands of favorite teddy laid on the bed. She walked to her bed and picked them up smiling. How beautiful they were' A cute smile formed on her face.

When she was lost in admiring the red roses a hand propped up in front of her from her back holding out a white rose and she didn't need to turn back and see as it was undoubtedly Aham and she knew he was dangerously close to her. So she didn't turn back.

Calmly, she took the rose and then a yellow rose propped in front of her. Confused she took it and then came the red rose. She picked it up and now came the pink rose.

Pyaar ka

Gopi finished her college. For her three years flew like 3 weeks in the company of Aham and his family. She didn't want to leave; neither had they wanted her to. So, she stayed back for a week even though the college ended.

But she had to leave one day and then she got a call from home that Kinjal's wedding got fixed. So, she decided to move away. It was the time when Aham took his charge finally as the M.D after working as an employee for almost a year.

He was very busy trying to handle his professional and personal life. He still managed to come back home on time as he knew Gopi would be waiting for him. She knew it was getting difficult for him to juggle between home and office so she decided to go.

Now here she was at the station along with Jigar hoping to see one last glance of him before leaving. Jigar was telling her something but her eyes were focused on the entrance. She failed to notice when Jigar glided away from there.

"Ye lo"

She got distracted when she heard Jigar's voice holding out a flower for her. She looked at him confused.

"Take this first' I'll tell you what to do"

Jigar said excitedly. Gopi took it and then both of them sat on a bench.

"Now pick out petal by petal' saying he'll come or not'"

Jigar said trying to suppress his giggles when he saw her deep red face.

"It's ok Gopi di' now start it'"

He signaled her to start. Gopi looked at the beautiful flower and then back to Jigar, and then he spread his handkerchief on the bench and then motioned her to continue.

Gopi took one by one petal carefully and slowly uttering the same as instructed by Jigar. After a few minutes the result was out and it was "He won't come"

Gopi saw Jigar with teary expressions. Jigar started at her helplessly and then an idea struck him.

"Di' You know I'm so dumb' you shouldn't have done it with white rose' White is for truce and peace'. Yellow is the color for you' since both of you are thick pals' wait I'll get one"

Jigar walked away when they got the information that the train was running late by 45 minutes. Gopi calmed down a bit and soon Jigar joined her.

They started again the same and even now the result was same. Jigar looked at Gopi helplessly and then once again scolded himself and said,

"I'll remain dumb all life' you've reached the next stage' its red for you na'.."

He left to get another.

Gopi didn't understand a single thing which Jigar was implying but she followed him blindly. He came back and she was removing the petals. She was uttering will come, will not and it was reaching end. Jigar was super tensed this time'

She dropped the last thing saying will come and that's when he joined them.

"Hey guys'ye itne saare rose petals' kya ho raha hai yahaan???"

Gopi and Jigar stood up in joy.

"Dekha' mein ne kahaa na' it's proved Gopi di' chalo now I guess I should leave"

Jigar disappeared from there in no time.

Aham sat beside Gopi on the bench taking her hand in his. She turned her face to the other side indicating that she was angry.

"Gopi'. you know na meri ek important meeting thi'" Aham started to explain.

"Mujhe excuses nahin sunne' iss ek saal mein meine kabhi complain nahin kiya when you were late b'coz I knew you just started to work n all' lekin aaj' aaj toh mein wapas jaa rahi hoon' agar nahi aa sakte toh kum se kum call karle the.." She said pouting.

"Meri best friend aaj mujhe chodke jaa rahi hai aur usse aake see off karne ke wajah mein ek call karke usse bye boldoon' how could you even think of that Gopi!!! Mein tumhe aise kaise jaane de sakta hoon Gopi

jaana jaroori hai kya??"

He asked her frowning. Gopi couldn't help but laugh at his expressions.

"Kinjal ki shaadi hai aur agar abhi nahin gaayi na toh this will be the last you'd see me alive'"

Both of them laughed together upon imagining how Kinjal would be running after Gopi for coming late.

"Actually mein jaldi start hogaya lekin beech mein'" He started off but got cut

"Traffic' haina.." Gopi interrupted,

"Nahin'. Yeh'"

He held out a teddy and bouquet of flowers for her.

"Wow' thank you so much'" Gopi took them happily.

"Ab lagta hai mujhe maafi milgayi'"Aham took a sigh of relief.

"Just for now' agar ek hafte mein Ambala nahin aaye na' toh I'm not gonna forgive you ever'" Gopi told him seriously.

"How dare I go against you' I'll be there and I'll call you daily' ok'"

Aham told the list of things we'll do.

"That's like a good boy." She patted his cheek and then both of them giggled.

"I think there's still 30 min to go'"

Aham said as he glanced at the watch.

"So?????"

Questioned Gopi.

"Soo.."

Aham imitated her.

"Aham that's not funny'"

Gopi said irritated.

"Oh really!!! I thought it was funny'. Thanx for the gyan'"

Aham told irritating her.

"You know' you're a big idiot."

Gopi started to fight with him.

They kept fighting like school kids for the rest 20 min and then the announcement came that the train has arrived.

"You' dekho train aa bhi gayi aur humne dekha tak nahin'"

Gopi shouted at him.

"Tumne nahi dekha' mein ne toh dekha tha' it came about 10 min back."

Aham replied calmly.

"What??? Aur tumne mujhe bataya tak nahin???"

Gopi was ready to kick him.

"You called me a idiot' jerk.. n what not' toh I don't think they do such good things' so I thought I wouldn't say.."

He got up picking her bag and then got into the train after checking the list. Stomping on her feet Gopi got up and followed him. He placed the bag in the right place and then saw that Gopi already took her place. He sat beside her.

"Ok now' ab jaa rahi toh toda muskurake jao'. I feel like mein koi demon ke saath baita hoon'" Aham said making a disgusted expression.

Gopi just looked at him sharply and he understood that she meant shut up.

"Teek hai' actually mujhe kuch important baat batani thi lekin'"

Aham turned his face away from hers.

"Nahin baatana hai toh mat batao waise bhi yahaan koi marne wala nahi hai agar tum baat nahin bataoge toh'" Gopi retorted angrily.

"Mera woh matlab hi nahin tha' forget it' jab tumne decide kar hi liya hai mujhse ladne ka toh why should I" Aham replied angrily.

"Mein bhi yahaan taras nahin rahi hoon sun ne ke liye' don't tell"

Gopi crossed her arms. They heard the train whistling sound and also the announcement that train is ready to leave' He stood up.

"Fine' jab tak tum khud nahi poochoge mein bhi nahin bataoounga' I'm as stubborn as you're'."

Aham took a few steps and then turned back again. He held out few chocolates for her.

"Tumhare liye' laaya tha.. Byee' Take care.."

He left from there while she smiled to herself holding the chocolates and then as the same tone as his said "tumhare liye laaya tha" and then giggled.

She took the teddy and hugged it. He stood by the window as if ready to cry any moment.

"Oh god Ahammm' tum bhi na'"

Gopi uttered upon seeing him by the window.

"Kya Ahammm'. Tumne kya socha tum mujhe ladogi toh mein tumhe khushi khushi jaane doonga' no ways'" He said firmly

"Arre' sirf ek hafta' and remember I'm warning you' agar next week tak mere samne nahin aaye na' toh you're gonna land in hell directly'." She told him very seriously as if threatening him.

"Ok' fine' I'll be there'"

He said.

The train started to move. He kept waving at her till she was out of sight. He sighed and left from there teary-eyed while she too left him with heavy heart hoping to see him soon.
