Here comes the update...

SHOT-9

Aham closed the gap between them by hugging her from back and resting his chin on her shoulder. A wide smile crept on her face recalling the last moment she was together with him.

"Agar tum soch rahe ho ki tum phool dekhe mujhe maana loge toh.. aisa sochna bhi mat.. mujhe tumse koi baat nahin karni'."

Gopi hit his head with the bunch of roses she was holding in her hand. She freed herself from his arms and went to the mirror to check her appearance.

Gopiiiiii

Aham whined like a kid and followed her. He settled himself on the couch beside the mirror and pleaded her silently. She pretended as if she was busy arranging her bindi, ear-rings etc.

He got up and angrily uttered

"Ok fine' don't talk'. Jab tak tum khud nahi aake mujhse baat karti.. mein bhi kuch nahi kahoonga' byee.."

Aham said seriously while Gopi rolled her eyes in reply. He left from there angrily while she smiled at his antics. What she missed was the goofy smile on his face when he left.

She came down a bit later and as usual searched for him. She saw him standing along with their parents and people coming to congratulate him. She thought probably he was being congratulated for his success.

From the moment she came down, she noticed a change in the way the guests looked at her. She felt that she missed something important. Lost in thoughts she went and joined her parents who made her stand beside Aham.

She remembered a relative of hers asked her to send Hetal upstairs so she immediately whispered into Hetal's ears to go upstairs. She heard a familiar voice'

"Congratulations' Aham sir.. sorry ab toh aap mere jeejaji haina.."

Gopi was surprised to see Umang, her classmate. Before she could sink in the fact, she got another blow.

"Congratulations' sister.. aap dono ki Jodi humesha salamat rahe.."

Umang walked away and then a bunch of Ahams' and her friends bombarded on them shouting, squeezing them and yelling. Gopi was not able to comprehend a thing. It was then Anita who made things clear for her,

"Gopi' kya hua?? Aise ajeeb sa shakal kyun banaya rakha' jaise ye sagaai tumhare marzi ke kilaaf ho rahi ho.."

As soon as Anita finished, Gopi look at Aham in disbelief. He suppressed his smile noticing her expressions and winked at her before leaving with his gang who dragged him away with them.

Gopi then looked in the direction of Parag and Kokila who pretended to be busy in some conversation. She searched for Chirag and Hetal but they too went out of her reach as she tried to approach.

She gave up her attempts and smiling thanked the guests who came to congratulate her. Finally she went and sat beside Kinjal who just got done with her mehendi on foot.

"Ye sab kya hai??"

Gopi asked crossing her arms.

"Kya?? Mujhe aise kyun dekh rahi ho?"

Kinjal feigned innocence.

"Please stop it Ash' mujhe pata hai ye sab pre planned natak hai' ab jaldi batao warna sochlo Elesh se shaadi karne se pehle hi tum apni maut'"

Gopi angrily gazed at her.

"Acha baba batati hoon'. ye master plan toh humare pyaare jijaji ka hai' hum toh bas unka kehna maan rahe hain'"

She nudged her. Gopi searched for Aham who was engrossed in talk with his friends, leaving her on her own after giving the big shock.

She angrily made her way towards Aham and dragged him by arm out into the garden. She left his arm.

"Ahamm' ye sab kya hai??" Gopi shouted in despair.

"woww Gopi' you talked to me'" Aham shrieked in joy.

"Shut up Ahamm' mein itni seriously tumse kuch pooch rahi hoon aur tumhe mazak soojh raha hai??" Gopi turned to the other side.

Aham went near her and caught hold of her hand and twirled her, causing her to fall in his arms.

"Gopi'I'm really sorry' woh ek emergency.." Aham told her seriously.

"Emergency??" Gopi looked at him in surprise.

Aham inched his face closer to hers joining their foreheads.

"woh baat ye hai ki' mera dil bohut ki soft hai' jab tum teddy se mere baare mein itni saari achi achi baatein batati ho toh mein ne socha' aur kitna tadpata rahoonga' shaadi karloonga toh ek kaam ho jaayega na'."

He winked at her and Gopi's mouth gaped open as soon as he finished. She poked a finger at him.

"Ahamm' tum tumne'. Don't tell me tumne teddy mein'. Tumne meri saari baatein sunli,'.."

He fled from there before she could do him any damage and without wasting a second she too went after him.

They kept running between the guests, their family members, friends while their parents shouted in despair to stop. They were going to get engaged today and here they were pretending like school kids.

Once they were out of sight of everyone, Aham caged her in his arms while she kept on hitting him on chest. He caught hold of her hands and while she was trying to break free he placed a quick peck on her lips uttering "I LOVE YOU"

Gopi stopped her defence as soon as she felt that she heard the words which she was dying to hear since long back.

She looked at him with a tinkle in her eyes while he flashed an ecstatic smile.

"Ahammm tumne kuch kahaa tha kya??? I don't think mein ne suna'"

Gopi acted innocent.

"Gopiiiii"

Aham gave her a defeated look while Gopi seemed as if she not ready to buy any of his pleading looks.

"Ok.. ok.. I give up.." He went on his knees.

"Gopi' mein tumhe bata nahi sakta' mein tumse kitna pyaar karta hoon' tumhare bina iss ek hafta kaise guzara ye mein hi jaanta hoon' ab aur nahii'. I want to be with you forever and ever' every single day I wish to see you beside me' Will you marry me???"

He held out his hand for her while she happily placed it in his and then, he slipped a ring to her ring finger.

They felt rose petals falling on them and the lights turned on and all the guests, family were clapping while Jigar and Rashi took care of the rose petal rainfall.

They hugged each other and then took the blessings of the elders after which they completed the engagement ceremony with Gopi slipping a ring into Ahams' finger.
