OS means "One Shot". A type of Fan Fiction. It's to let people know up front that it's not a typical discussion thread.

They are usually like a mini FF, all in one shot, rather than chapter after chapter. Authors typically title their pieces "OS: (and then the title) so people who like fan fiction know to read.
