Hello Friends here is the final chapter in this story.

Part 4

Aham was furious after speaking to Kinjal, he couldn't believe she would bold face, look him in the eye and lie to him. Kinjal had always been a bad liar, growing up Aham could always tell when she was either evading the question or side stepping the truth or downright lying. When he mentioned Umang's name, Kinjal's eyes had almost pop out of her head, sure sign of a lie, but she continued to maintain her story. Aham was sure she had something going on and he was hundred percent sure it was with Umang. He was not going to let Kinjal ruin her life because of that degenerate, that poor excuse of a human! There was no way Umang was up to any good, this had to be about revenge or another way for him get his hands on Modi money. Aham had been certain he could to talk some sense into that sister of his but she was being stubborn. What was wrong with her, she was smarter than this! How could she allow someone like Umang to pull wool over her eyes? He needed to tread very carefully because who knows what the two of them were planning to do. This had to be handled before mom or the Mehtas found out. Elesh was the best choice for Kinjal, she was just too entangled in Umang's web to see it.

As Aham was about to enter the guest room, to gather his briefcase for the office, he saw Gopi coming down the hallway. His heart skipped a beat as he watched her walk towards him in her royal blue sari with silver sequence sown all over it like stars, unaware that he was there. Aham did a quick sweep of other side of the hallway to see if anyone else was around and he called to her, "Gopi!"

At first Gopi looked like she was going to run the other way but finally she covered her head with her pallu and said, "ji?"

"Come in here for a minute," he asked, as he went into the guest room.

Gopi thought, Kanaji, this is it, he is going to yell at me for last night but saw no other recourse but to go in to talk with Aham.

Aham was pacing the guest room still livid even though the thought of talking with Gopi had the affect of water on fire but the steam was still there.

"I talked to Kinjal," he said.

"Ji?"

"I cannot believe she would lie to me!" he shouted.

"Maybe I was wrong," Gopi tried to appease him even though she knew what she saw.

"No, you where right. She is seeing someone and I know exactly who it is!"

"How can you be sure?"

"A few months ago at Ani....um ..uh...um...at a party I saw Kinjal spend a lot of time with an acquaintance as though they had know each other for a long time. This man is a very bad person."

"Ji?" Worried about Kinjal ben.

"This man is only interested in money. Doesn't matter how he gets it. He tried to get me involved in a shady business deal and when I wouldn't bite, he has brewed this scheme!"

By the end of this sentence Aham was again livid. But now his anger was very cold.

"Ji, but how do you know it is the same man?" Gopi asked quietly.

"When I said Umang's name, Kinjal's face told me that it is him. But she bold face lied to me and denied it. I know my sister really well and I know when she is lying!"

Gopi forgot all about her fear of Aham and was ecstatic that he was talking to her about something so important, like a husband talks to his wife.

She said, "Aap kya kare ge?"

"I am going to hire a detective! That is what I am going to do. I don't have time to run after this stupid girl. I am going to find out what Umang is up to and get rid of him. Kinjal has to marry Elesh."

"But what if he really loves her?"

"He doesn't love her!" Aham snapped back and took an aggressive step towards her. Gopi took a step back as the terrified look started to come over her face. Aham felt ashamed for bringing that look back. For the first time in his life he was sharing his thoughts and talking through a problem and coming up with the solution with another person. He was finding that he liked talking with Gopi like this. Surprisingly he liked sharing. And with her.

"I am not mad at you but at this situation created by my crazy sister."

"But if she loves him, should we really be forcing her to marry Eleshji? That isn't fair to either one of them."

Aham looked at Gopi and again for a second he completely lost his train of thought and just stared at Gopi like a fool. When Gopi looked away in embarrassment Aham said, "We will talk about that later. Right now I am more concerned about Kinjal making any rash decisions."

"Ji."

"Let me hire the detective and see what he finds out and we can talk about this more when I get home from the office. For now let's keep this between just the two of us. Don't say anything to even Kinjal and keep an eye on her for me."

Gopi looked up at Aham with a look of wonder and nodded with an almost smile. Aham looked back at her for a whole minute before grabbing his brief case and leaving. Gopi was in seventh heaven she couldn't believe that Ahamji had come to talk to her for the first time since they married. The conversation replayed in her mind as she decided to straighten up the guest room. Gopi hummed to herself as she made the bed and picked up the journal that was under the pillow. She was about to put it on the bedside table when something fell out of it. Gopi put the journal down to pickup the piece of paper from the floor. When Gopi was about to put the paper back as a bookmark to mark the page where Aham had obviously made his last journal entry, she realized it was a photo. Gopi looked at the photo in wonder it was their wedding picture! The one that Ahamji had ripped up a few weeks ago and she had repaired it but how.....

The end

That is all folks. I will end this OS at this point! Hope you liked it.
