Part 12
Aham was really happy to finally hear Gopi say his name and he gave her a huge smile. Gopi gave him his clothes and asked him to come downstairs quickly as everyone was waiting for him.
Aham smiled lovingly at gopi and said : Aur kuch?
Gopi blushed and said: And don't try to eat anything sour with your dinner tonight.
Aham: haan baba I won't have anything sour till I get clean sheet from the doctor. Khush?
Gopi gave him a huge smile and said: Bohot! Ab mein chalti houn as I have to start making dinner.
Saying so Gopi went downstairs and told everyone that Aham will be down in a minute. She then went to the kitchen and started making everyones favorite dishes. Aham joined them after about 10 minutes and started chatting with the guys. They all liked Aham a lot and were thinking that he is perfect for gopi and aham liked gopi's brothers as well.
All the girls came back after sometime and Koki sent them to freshen up. Ria was the first one to come downstairs and took a seat next to Sameer.
Aham smiled at her and said: Did you enjoy shopping Ria?
Ria gave a big smile and said: Haan hum sab ne bohot enjoy kia!
Rano: Enjoy kyun nahi karegi? Akhir di ne isse apna credit card jo diya tha..
Sonal: How can someone do so much shopping in one day?
Ria frowned and said innocently: Lekin mein ne to sab ke liye shopping ki..
Raj trying hard to hide his smile as he knew they were just teasing Ria : Ab tum dono bas bhi karo.. Isse phir se rulana hai kya?
Both Rano and Sonal smiled cheekily and hugged Ria: Hum to mazak kar rahe the Ria.
Sia who was very excited after all the fun they had said: Such mein we really enjoyed ourselves.
Jia: We visited so many places and even watched a movie.
Ria whose mood was restored by now joined the conversation and said happily: Aur bohot sari shopping bhi ki. I can't wait to show di what I bought for her.
Aham: I'm sure your di is going to like what you've bought for her bacha.
Kinjal looked around and asks: waise gopi ben dikhai nahi de rahi hain? Where is she?
Koki: Woh kitchen mein hai kinjal, khana bana rahi hai.
All the girls go into the kitchen to give gopi a hand except for kinjal who was attending a phone call. They all gave gopi a bear hug as soon as they saw her and started helping her.
Rano: Aap kya bana rahi ho di?
Ria: As usual di sab ki favorite dishes bana rahi hai. Right di?
Gopi smiles affectionately at Ria and said: Absolutely right bacha. Did you guys have fun?
Sia hugged gopi from the back and said: Haan di bohot maza aya, lekin agar aap saath hoti to aur bhi maza ata.
Gopi's smile widens and she says: I know bacha lekin aaj ka presentation bohot important tha.
Jia who's very hungry said: Di aur kitna waqt lagega? Bohot zoron ki bhook lagi hai..
Gopi: Everything is done bacha bas 5 minutes aur. Let me put the finishing touches then I'll set the table.
Rano: Nahi di table hum set kardete hain. You just tell us where everything is kept.
The girls set the table while Gopi went to call everyone for dinner.
Gopi smiles at everyone and says: Khana tayar hai aap log ajaiye.
Everyone start making their way towards the dinning table but gopi holds Aham back by holding his hand.
Aham looks at gopi and whispers: Kya hua angel? Are you ok?
Gopi smiles seeing him so concerned about her: I'm fine Mr Modi, lekin aap ko apna vaada yaad hai na?
Aham frowns and asks: Kaun sa vaada?
Gopi gives him a disapproving look and says: Teekha na khane ka vaada. Aap bhool gaye na?
Aham smiles lovingly at gopi and says: nahi baba mujhe yaad hai. Waise ek baat kahoon?
Gopi says: Kya?
Aham smiles mischievously and says: Jab tum mujhe aisi daanti hona to bohot acha lagta hai.
Gopi blushed and said: Mr Modi I think we should go now. Sab hamara wait kar rahe hain.
Saying so Gopi went towards the dinning table and started serving everyone while Aham took his seat and waited for Gopi. When Gopi was done serving everyone she took her seat next to Aham and started eating. Aham took a good look at Gopi before he in turn started eating his dinner. Everyone at the dinning table noticed this and had silly smiles on their faces. After dinner they all made their way to the living room and seated themselves on the couches while Gopi served everyone gajar ka halwa.
Aham got excited like a little kid when he saw his favourite sweet dish and exclaimed: Wow angel gajar ka halwa!
Gopi who was done serving and was sitting next to Aham smiled affectionately at him and says: Haan aap ko bohot pasand hai na? Mein ne khaas aap ke liye banaya hai for being good and not having spicy food.
Aham was even more happy hearing that gopi made this specially for him and he smiles at gopi lovingly and starts having his halwa.
Raj who looked quite disturbed said: Aham if you don't mind we need to speak to you about the new project.
Aham looked at Raj and he understood that he wanted to speak to gopi.
Aham gave Raj a reassuring nod and said: Sure Raj, why don't you guys come with me and angel to the study?
Raj gave Aham a grateful look and said: Thanks Aham. Sonal why don't you come with us as well?
Koki: Haan beta tum log apna kaam khatam karlo, we'll keep the girls company in the meantime.
Gopi: Ji maji.
Raj, Rahul, Sameer and Sonal followed Aham and Gopi to the study and Aham closed the door when they were all in.
As soon as the door closed gopi asked: Kya baat hai sonal? Sab theek to hai na? Why are you so quiet?
Sonal hugged Gopi tightly and said while tears were streaming down her eyes: Mujhe bohot darr lag raha hai di. Mujhe wapas nahi jana, aap ke paas hi rehna hai😭
Gopi who was very worried now asks her again: Lekin baat kya hai bacha?
Aham who saw that Sonal won't be able to say anything intervened: Raj tumhi batao baat kya hai?
Raj told Aham and Gopi that a marriage proposal came for Sonal and the guy, Umang looked very decent and well spoken but the family still did not accept and told his family that they don't take any decisions without gopi's consent and we have to wait for you to come back before we can give them an answer. We all liked umang and were just waiting for you to come so that we could get them engaged. One day sonal went out with her friends to one of our restaurants and saw umang and Tarun together and heard them saying how they planned to drug sonal and take advantage of her and also umang had no intention of marrying her. They we doing all this to ruin the reputation of all the girls in our family as we are very proud and possessive about you girls. Tarun knows that he can't win from you so he was going to ruin sonal's life and blackmail dad. They made this plan since you left but could not execute it as all the girls were always surrounded by bodyguards.
Sameer who was fuming by then said: I would have taught both of them a good lesson as soon as sonal told us what she heard lekin raj bhai ne mujhe rok liya.
Gopi who had managed to calm Sonal down made her take a seat and gave her a glass of water.
Gopi: Raj bhai ne theek kiya sam but tarun is not doing all this to blackmail dad. He is doing this to make me return to India without completing my challenge.
Gopi's brothers were really surprised as they never thought about this.
Aham who had been quiet till now said: Angel is absolutely right. If they wanted their plan to be a secret why would they speak about it in public that too in a SGC hotel where anyone of you can be present?
Gopi who was very worried now looked at aham and said: But the fact remains that the girls are not safe in India Mr Modi.
Raj: We won't let anything happen to the girls gopi. We have appointed more bodyguards for them and they are not going out anymore. They are always at home.
Aham: I think you should leave the girls here till we don't send those guys behind bars Raj. I know you'll do your best to protect them but it's better if they go back to India with gopi and me after a month. If we know they are not safe there then why should we send them back?
Gopi holds Aham's arm tightly and says: Lekin where are the girls going to stay Mr Modi? You know my appartment is very small for the 6 of us.
Aham smiles at gopi and says: Lekin mera ghar to chota nahi hai na? This is the safest place for them right now and I give you guys my word ke mere hote hue unhein kuch nahi hoga.
Sameer: Lekin how can they stay here Aham? It's really nice of you to offer but..
Rahul who had been quiet till now says: No sam, Aham is absolutely right. We should leave the girls under his care till gopi successfully completes her challenge. Uske baad they'll all come back together as Aham and his family are moving back to India anyway.
Raj: It's decided then. The girls will stay here with Aham and his family and we'll go back in a week's time.
Aham: Why don't you guys go to bed now? You must be really tired. I've asked mani to arrange rooms for all of you.
The guys and sonal hugged Aham and went to their rooms to rest leaving Aham and gopi in the study.
Gopi was still thinking about what Tarun had planned to do and was even more worried realising the gravity of the situation and she started getting goosebumps thinking about the worse. Seeing her in this condition Aham went and stood in front of gopi. He held her face in his palms and made her look into his eyes.
Aham looked at her reassuringly and said: We won't let anything happen to them angel. Mujh par bharosa hai na?
Gopi hugged Aham tightly and said: I trust you more than myself Mr Modi. I just can't help thinking what could have happened to them if we did not come to know about tarun's plan.
Aham hugged her back and dropped a kiss on her head: Kuch nahi hua hai aur main unhein kabhi kuch hone bhi nahi dounga.
Aham held gopi's face and made her look at him after sometime: Tum bohot thak gayi ho and I think you should stay over tonight. Sonal will feel safer as well.
Gopi looked at him helplessly and said: Lekin I'll be breaking the rules of the challenge if I stay over.
Aham: No you won't be breaking any rules sweetheart. The challenge was to get a job in a different country on your own merit and work as a middle class person which you are already doing. Nothing was ever said about you hiding your real identity even after getting the job or about living like a middle class person or about not falling in love..
Gopi with tears streaming down her eyes: Lekin agar tarun ne kuch kaha to...
Aham wipes gopi's tears and whispered: Shhh baby.. Usne kuch kaha to jawab mein dounga. I want to stand by you for life angel. I really love you.. Main tumse bohot pyaar karta houn. Please stop torturing yourself because of that challenge sweetheart aur mujhe apne saare dard dedo..
Gopi who could not hold herself anymore hugged Aham tightly and continued sobbing softly: Main bhi aap se bohot zyada pyaar karti houn.. Jab aap bimaar hue the to meri toh jaan hi nikal gayi thi.. You are the only one I feel safe with and I trust you with my life Mr Modi.
Aham hugged gopi even tighter after hearing her confession and smiled: gopiiiiiiiiiii... Ab to mujhe aham bulao..
Gopi came out of Aham's arms and giving him a watery smile she said cheekily: Sorry Mr Modi no can do.. Uss ke liye aap ko ek aur mahina intezaar karna hoga..
Saying so Gopi laughed and tried to run out of the room but Aham was faster and caught her before she reached the door. He turned her towards him and backed gopi against the door.
Gopi was breathing heavily and her hands were on Aham's shoulders: Yeh aap kya kar rahe hain Mr Modi? Koi ajaye ga.
Aham pressed himself against gopi and locked the door behind her and whispered: Ab koi nahi ayega jaan.. I've been wanting to do this ever since I met you, please don't stop me..
Saying so Aham wrapped his arms around gopi's waist and lowered his lips on hers kissing her softly at first and then passionately. Gopi was lost in aham's arms and the feelings he was arousing in her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer and kissed him back with all the love in her heart. They broke apart after sometime and were both breathing heavily. Aham then started dropping kisses on her forehead, eyes, cheeks and started kissing her deeply on her neck.
