In today's episode both brijesh and saloni were right.

As brijesh has right to make sure that pia's prestige is not redeemed further by so called leaders of society. even though Pia has every right to go to temple and perform aaarti. ppl who opposed to this might aggravate the issue then more and more ppl come to know about her rape that our society considers a sin in which a victim is to be blamed and not the person who commited this crime. brijesh and kakisa were purely looking out for Pia's welfare.

On the other hand saloni is right. Who has right to judge pia and call her criminal when the crime is commited against her and she is a victim. Temple should be open for evrey one regardaless of who did what.

Our society needs to change and punish the person who commited crime and not the poor woman who is going thru trauma and give her more suffering.

In my opnion saloni did nothing wrong. But at the same time no woman or her family members want to come out in public and admit that rape has ocurred and she has been victimised.

It is a dilemma rape victim and her family members will have to go thru till we can change the society. That is why we have so many rapes that are never reported and kids born out of the rape are left in orphange

It is a shame of our society. and I support Saloni 100% that some one has to take intiative and fight against this.

I was about to start a topic on this myself until I came across yours. I agree with you 100%. Families try to protect their reputation and try not to let the world know what happened, but that is the reason so many guys get away with rape. I loved it when Saloni told those guys that they should focus more on finding the guy that raped Pia and punishing him instead of insulting Pia.
It's about time the "society" changes and realizes that 1)everyone needs to mind their own business and 2)women are not as weak as they may seem.

By minding their own business I mean who has any right to point fingers at someones house matters and say that this girl is not worthy of going to a temple? I felt like telling that guy that he's not worthy of it himself since his mentality is so low.

Even out here in the states, if you run across any indian/desi person, especially the aunty and uncle type of people, they stare at you to see who you are and if they know you and then try to stare at your friends to see if they know them - and god forbid if you're hanging out with a guy. Be it your brother, cousin or whoever, those aunty and uncles stare and stare and then try to start rumors. It's like mind your own business because the person next to me could be my cousin for all you know.

Lol, so sorry for going off topic. But be it in soap operas or real life, the society seriously does need to change and needs to stop mending in other's lives.

It is time society has to change the bad opinion that they got of a raped women.

It is time to stop the inappropriate or improper way our society is treating a raped women.

Instead of stereotyping and discreminating against a raped women, the society has to impower and encourage the raped women (victims) to come out and fight for her right inorder the criminals be punished very severely.

A raped women are victims not criminals and they have to be treated in a better respectful way and not to be shamefaced.

You are so right why won't ppl mind their own business and look in your family before pointing fingers at some one else.

You reminded me of one incident that happen right after I got married and my huby came back to US and I was in India and I had gone to watch a cricket match with my devar. all the ppl who knew me were looking at me like who am i out with. I was laughing inside and introdcuing every one to my dever and i got tired of introducing him to 100's of ppl.

the problem is also that that this soceity is ruled by MAN....

and the moment a woman is been wrongend by a Man ...we have hurt woman are hurting the EGO off a Man......

and the wrong is not importent anymore but the EGO....

the soceity is not willing to deal with a culprit cause that will be agreeing to the fact : that something is wrong within the soceity.....

you are so right about the society and these so called thekedars who comes out with sticks after poor rape victim but many times they themselves are guilty of the crimes like rape so why would they admit that the society is wrong.
