A cellphone led to a major goof-up on the sets of Sab TV's Party. Aanchal Dwivedi, who plays Ria in the serial, failed to show up for the shoot simply because her cellphone showed the wrong date. The unit members kept waiting for her, while the actress slept on at home.
When contacted, Aanchal recalled the incident with a shudder. "I came home from the shoot a few days ago and watched a movie as usual, before going to bed around 3 am. Usually I don't rely on my cellphone calendar, but that day I did. I checked the calendar and told myself that the next shoot was the day after, on September 17. However, the next day my producer called me up, and he was furious. He asked me why I didn't report to the sets. I asked him why he was making such a hue and cry over it, since the shooting was day after, anyway. That's when he told me the date and I was really embarrassed. Finally the I reached the shoot when half the day was over. I've made up my mind never to rely on my cellphone again," she said.
The worst affected by Aanchal's cellphone mix-up was Vishal Kotian, who plays Aman Khatrii in the serial. He recalls, "Aanchal was supposed to report on the sets at 7 am while I had to report at 9 am. Since Aanchal overslept and reported late on the sets, the shooting continued very late. I had to rush for another shoot, drove fast and ended up having an accident. Now it has gone for repairs. Perhaps Aanchal should pay for it (laughs)."
