Like many others, I also feel that Amrit is Nahar. First of all, Nahar's suicuide does not make any sense.
I dont think he's stupid enough to just go and kill himself just becuase Varun said, "If I were you, I would kill myself, but ease saloni of all her pains." Is Nahar really that dumb to think that killing himself would ease saloni's pain? If he really wanted to alleviate saloni's pain, he would get Varun married to her, which he iniitally planned to do. However, he did nothing of that sort and during that entire time that Varun was blabbering BS in his ears, he quietly listened and walked towards the water. Nahar knows very well that if he dies, Saloni will be miserable for life, so he would not do something stupid like that.
I think what has happened is that somwerhe along the way, he found out Varun's plan. He knw that if he stayed around his family, he would have to pretend that nothing is wrong, and if he stayed with saloni, then that ass varun would follow him like a leech, and he would have to pretend to be sick (even though he was getting better). In other words, ther was no way for him to teach varun and urvashi a lesson. I feel that after the second time saloni got the jal from the swami, nahar feeling sick was also a pretense, to see what varun suggests after that. Since it was all confirmed that Varun was a traitor, he probably made a plan with guruma to replace the actual Swami for a while and make him play the swami so that he can keep an eye on saloni, and at the same time fight for the well being of his family while making everyone belive that he is dead. that way no one will look for him, urvashi will get very comfortable and nahar will just look for the perfect chance to attack. the conversation with the guruma where he says, "that woman's pain has made me very sad," was probably to confuse the audience. The way he was picturing saloni gave it away that it was Nahar. He probably planned it with guruma that he will call saloni "that woman" so that in case someone overhears, they will not suspect that he is Nahar. Plus, when guruma said, "dont forget your aim, dont forget that you were sent for a great cause," probably refers to his aim of destryong evils like urvashi.
call it wishful thinking, but this is what my senses tell me...
