Saat Phere was a serial that always showed family unity as priority over personal relationships and Saloni was the main spokesman who preached this. Parivaar is the main thing , she always said .
Well , why doesn't she practise what she always preached now ? With what conscience is she keeping it hidden from Nahar's family that he is dying of a terminal illness ? Who is Saloni to even take this decision ? Does she even have a right to do this ? Nahar is mentally weak due to his illness and his mistake in hiding can perhaps be excused [ although i wouldn't personally ]..............but Saloni ?
Saloni has entered Nahar's life much much later . It was his blood family that brought him up in the first place , and gave him life ! His father , his mother , his elder brother who was a second father to him , his sisters , Bhabho.........were there much earlier before Saloni even knew him . They have an equal right to know if he is sick and dying as much as Saloni has ! This right is a moral right . A marraige doesn't snap off earlier bonds . Just bcoz a wife comes in , a mother doesn't lose the right to know about the health and death of the son she has literally shared a body with for nine months !
Also , how old is Saloni ............what experience does she have to think that she is wise enough to tackle this all by herself ? If she deferred to opinion of experienced elders like Brijesh or Bhabho , they would tell her about the necessity to take a second or even third medical opinion ............Brijesh wud have used his contacts etc, and if necessary , he wud have even taken his brother abroad ! With such little experience of life behind her [ how old is she.....28 , 29 ???} she decides that she knows whats best for Nahar when she doesn't even clearly have the common sense to take a second opinion ?
And instead of taking another medical opinion o seeking help from elders , she goes to an ashram ...........her way of tackling a terminal sickness ?
Why shouldn't Nahar's family be furious with her for being so oversmart ? I know i would with my bahu ..........if she ever wud keep things concerning my son's health from me ! In fact I would never ever forgive her !
Will they ever show us a character in Saat Phere who will give Saloni a real well desrved blasting ? She had done the same thing in hiding Jiji's blackmail .........and Aditi died coz she found out by accident !
Btw ....in India [ and im sure even abroad] .......if a person has terminal sickness , we even inform a person if he is fighting a court battle or something and is on the opposite side if he is related by blood as a brother .......we keep aside diffrerces at that point as we believe it is the brother's moral right to know ! It is not necessary to broadcast in all relatives but immediate family has a right !
Her habit of handling things all alone and thinking she knows best is really very annoying ! How many of u think what she is doing is right ?
