Minirulz - you have a really nice voice and you have a gr8 ability to move swiftly onto the next part of the song... 'Main Agar Kahoon' is a song that isn't just sung straight but has ups and downs in it... very well sung

Tabu - you have great control over you voice and a wonderful voice... all the words you sang were controlled and didn't sound out of place or just trailed off at the end... well done

Coollama - gr8 performance... u have a really good voice and sing high and low notes very well... there is a feeling to your singing as well, which comes through

Suhana Safar - you are awesome! Your song doesn't seem like an audition that has just been recorded in a room... but a proper recorded song... beautifully sung! It was consistent throughout the whole song

Alaap Gharana:

Arun Sampath - very well sung... u have a wonderful voice and gr8 control over it... brilliant job!

Lava29 - Gr8 song selection! You sang it very well the only thing I thought was that it could be a little softer in parts... but overall it was superb... luved it!

Summer89 - Nice voice! You sang the song very well... the only thing I would suggest for this song is that it could probably have had a bit more feeling to it... but ur voice is gr8... pleasure listening

The_Charm - I can tell that you do feel the song/lyrics as you sing it, which is gr8... but you need to get more control over your singing so it'll stay on track... I know it's harder without the music... but a gr8 attempt...

Jhankar Gharana:

Kalpa56 - A gr8 performance! You seem to be classically trained... you have a wonderful voice and brilliant control over your voice... superb! Keep it up!

evilseye - Your song put a feeling across... which is gr8... and the way u finish off each line is brilliant... I just think it would have been better if you had sung the song slower... but nonetheless it was a gr8 performance to listen to

rock&roll - nice song selection... and your voice is very nice... your high notes are very good I just think you tried too much with the low notes... I think you would be able to do a much better job without putting so much effort in the lower notes and just singing it naturally... but ur higher notes are very good... overall a gr8 performance

Saara - Gr8 to hear a female version of this song... and you did a nice job of it! Gr8 feelings added to it... it was a pleasure listening to it...

SurSangam Gharana:

Kiti_g - Brilliant performance... and you have a superb voice and wonderful control over your voice... you sing both high and low notes beautifully... luved ur performance

Naughty_n_nice - All the words in ur song were clear and I liked the tempo of it... you sang it nice and slowly ... giving time to each part... which was very good... gr8 job...

Aseel - I really liked ur Suno Na... u have a gr8 voice and liked the way u kept the song in the low key... there was a nice smoothness throughout your song and gr8 feeling...

Mala_sss - Gr8 feeling to your song... throughout the song you gave a consistent performance with wonderful high and low notes... well done... keep it up!

I finally got to hear all the songs =)

And I'm happy to say Ashish saved me time in giving detailed feedback - I concur with most of what he said. I suggest that all contestants take note of his advice - he was last year's winner.

Some of you have trouble with "Scale changes". More commonly, this is known as going off-key.

It happens because:

1. You are not listening to the song closely. Lazy ear syndrome.

OR

2. You are not able to sing out the notes properly even though you hear your mistakes. You are nervous or tense while singing.

To rectify that:

For 1: Listen to the song for a min of 10-15 times. Listen to the notes, the sounds, the harkats.

For 2: Relax, take a deep breath and sing the song very very slowly so that you are able to sing the notes accurately. Singing a song slowly and accurately is better than singing it off-key.

I am sorry, but there is no short cut to this. Good luck!

Thanks to all the commentors for the feedback. Special thanks to Ashish, Rukhaya and Smarty for taking the time to individually critique all the finalists.

I hope to improve on my sur and delivery in the upcoming rounds and hopefully perform much better than koi hota. I came to know about the contest very late and I recorded my song on the night of the 18th and submitted it just in time to beat the deadline.
