apne hi mooh se apne hi taarif nahi karna chahiye...😆

Bythe way , how about participating in the next IF SRGMP challenge, we can ourselves judge then.😉

Suresh Wadekar ji is an institution by himself. His music schools are very sought after and his comments/advices were spot on and he stated them in the correct way.

😆 Appa you are a riot!

I donot think Suresh Wadkar is a bad guru. He is a teacher himself. I would rather have a teacher who pinpoints my shortcomings so I can improve than someone who praises me all the time.

I think Sonu and Suresh Wadkar are doing a fantastic job so far 👏

Both of them do a wonderful job of complementing each other. Unlike other competitions, so far we see them out here trying to judge and not go about their personal agenda. In fact, you can feel the immense respect that Sonu has for Sudesh Wadhkar's command for classical music. Sometimes you have to appear to be a bad guy to do a good job. The kids, young though they are, should be mentally prepared by their parents and teachers to react positively to criticism and use it to their advantage. Otherwise, they should not enter competitions.

Guys and Gals -- first please get Suresh-ji's last name correct.

It is not WADEKAR ... but WADKAR (no E after D). Many of you are still making this mistake.

Secondly, he is definitely an institution himself. He has a music school in Mumbai on old Gurukul based system that has very high reputation. Just look at the immense respect he gets from India's topmost playback singer, Sonu Nigam. Sonu is very genuine person at heart and his respect for Sureshji is coming from his heart...

Pinpointing the mistakes is great on a one on one basis, that is what every good teacher should do, but not on international TV, that too pinpointing a child's shortcomings!

Sorry I disagree, when I said one on one, it means literally one on one, as in "talking to the child only", not with any hangers-on like the zee tv crew.
I am a music teacher and I do pull up my students, but never would I do that when they have performed and gotten off stage and a bunch of people are watching.
I give them the feedback when they come back for their one on one lesson. Mr. Wadkar might be a great guru, but he is turning out to be a judge with terrible interpersonal skills. He can learn from Guru Sonu.

During the first two episodes, Suresh let the kids have some leeway and didn't comment much on their performances inspite of many shortcomings & mistakes and the subsequent comments about him were that "he is not opening his mouth much" ," he is very boring", "he is at loss of words" etc etc.

Now when he is correcting the blunders & giving them directions on the right way of singing in a reasonable manner without being much rude he is pilloried again.

The show is still in its initial stages & so far what we have witnessed holds lot of promise for the future & i feel that judges are doing pretty nicely here, so it is unfair to pass unsavoury judgements on the commendable job by them so far.

These comments about Sureshji seem to be too much of exaggeration and we need not make a mountain of a mole hill.
