Same problem with Aneek but less than Amanat..

Thank you Jaadoo bhai for the link. This video is a very old video. I have seen Ghulam Ali about a year back, he breathes heavily on the mic. now a days. Amanat must have picked the song from a newer album.

You can see Ghulam Ali saabs heavy breathing in this video too, but it is not audible here.

I understand Jaadoo bhai, and you are 100% correct. But Aneek and Amanat almost swallowed the microphone. And breathing is not a big issue. It can be corrected easily with training from a good guru. Remember Aiswariya.

Lekin aaj sab kuch maaf. Sabne itna achca gaya ki man bhar gaya.

I wish to say only one thing regarding this 'breathlessness' topic.....

Pt.Jasrajji and Jagjit singhji have more knowledge and experience than any of us fourm members and if they found amanat to be exceptional today then I don't see any point behind this effort to belittle his rendition today.....

All the contestants have had their best days and bad days .....today was Amanats best day 👏 .....just except it and move ahead....

I completely agree with this.

That may be due to old age, there may be heavy breathing but nothing coming to ears, that matter most Appaji... Every singer breathe during singing but should not be caught by mic... Ghulam Ali manage the breath, I can easily without affecting the singing...

Perhaps it was because he was still fasting at the time. I think Pt. Yasraj referred to that when he said that Amanat sang so well without having anything to drink...or that may have been in reference to the song but it would explain why the breathing was slightly resonant.

😆 that "peena" was in reference to the lyric of the song. Amanat really made the song sound like a concert performance......wow !!!!! amazing ! sounded just like a professional and not a 19 year old boy...

bravo !!!!!👏👏👏

ok, so it may not have been literally, it was one or the other 😃

I was completely bowled over by his Albela sajan as well👏

All the singers were great, it was a special episode, best of the season in my view.

Nobody is belittiling their performances, Amanat's performance was just perfect and outstanding minus breathing control, but that was so prominent you can easily hear it at lowest audible volume.... If I will rate Aneek was better than Amanat although Ghazal was out of his control...

As Appaji said aaj sab maaf... islie sab maaf...

Jadoo ji..check this performance by ghulam ali khan saab..this is a live performance and let me know what you feel about the breath control..

Today guest jury and mentors aptly commented 👏on contestants so I would just highlight some points which I though while listening to them other than judges' comments.

Ghazal round:

Raja: 9/10. He was good though I prefer his folk singing to ghazals.

Aneek: 7/10 Something was amiss. His attempt was good but itna maza nahin aaya.

Amanat: 10/10. He was perfect. He was actually singing with controlled breathing so what we heard was not him going out of breath but keeping it in control. If he had problems with breathing then his voice would have strained, which didn't.

Poonam: 8/10 A very good attempt. As everyone said a bit faulty start which she controlled later.

Semi-classical round:

Aneek: 8/10. One of my all time fav. songs and I was waiting for someone to sing this song on the show. Last year Amey Date sang it in II and I prefer that to this rendition. For the first time I thought Aneek sounded a bit immature.

Raja: 8/10 Sur faltered at few places. He needs to do more riyaaz. He still sounds a bit strained.

Amanat: 9/10 I prefer actual composition. Still Amanat tried to do his best and proved how versatile he is as a singer. A true find of srgmp.

Poonam: 10/10. She was the best in semi-classical round. She sang with ease and it seemed almost like her farewell song and looked like she already made peace with her exit. It was flawless. 👏

Thanks Zee for a good evening without any drama.
