Is mentor's special a good idea? - Page 3

i think they should not limit the contestants. let them sing whatever they want, taking into account their own strengths and the interests of the audience and judges. i have no problem if it's all in the same genre, as long as it sounds good to me. i would just want them to give it their best shot with whatever they have and not put artifical constraints on them. i'd like to see how good they get when they are at their peak, not how average they can be when they are singing stuff they are not comfortable with. no one's gonna pay them anyway to hear stuff they dont excel in, so why bother trying to get them to perform every which way. 😊

No, it is not a good idea.... Lack of variety makes the episode boring.... If they want to have mentor's special then have songs from all 4 mentors in one episode and contestant should sing song from his/her mentor only.... They can repeat same kind of round again.

If that was the case, then why is that the real real so called "oldies" are being remixed by the very very young directors and introduced back into the market.

Abhi ,music never ages, its timeless. its just the taste and fad of a generation that changes .

yes the oldies are remixed but alongwith that new music is also coming.... restricting mind to one era of music only saturates it and one has to be wide open in accepting the music....

We have musical greats in the past but that can nt be the reason to not accept the mentors special round for current era MDs😳

Problem is- dow e have adequate number of songs of these MD's to show their versatility? Except for Bappida, whose else is there? one or two melodies cannot be sunng by all now ...right?

I agree... Every mentor don't have the variety of songs. HR's songs are all one type while ID hardly have many. Yes among these only Bappida has the variety. So best is to go by general themes or as Jaddo bhai said all mentor's together in one episode.
