Yes. Na Tum hume jaano, na hum tumhe jaane, magar lagta hai kuch aisa mera humdum... mil gaya..

And Akela hoon main, is duniya mein... koi saathi hai na mera saaya, akela hoon main.

What a topic... a place where I cant post, as eyes refuse to come away from the topic๐Ÿ‘

Yes. the song is by Hemant Kumar.

Kishore Kumar sang almost all the older songs of Dev Saab, both were maverick in their styles and SDB used more of Kishore Kumar in Navketan banners earlier.

Dev Anand had a style of his own and I liked him (especially in the 1950s and 1960s movies). He has had Rafi and Kishore mostly singing for him...and Hemant at times. Remember 'Solva Saal'? 'Hai apna dil to awara' has Hemant, which is romantic no doubt. But the chhed-chhaad bit comes through in full measure, in Rafi's 'Yehin to hai woh, yehin to hai'.

Speaking of other songs. I like 'Khoya khoya chand' better in audio, than its picturization. Somehow the way DA sways his hands, droops and sways some more, reminds me distinctly of our tree-swinging ancestors ๐Ÿ˜• Now people here are going to kill me for this! Ok he is a VERY sweet tree-swinger ๐Ÿ˜‰

In my college days khoya khoya chand was our most favorite song to imitate Dev Anand... we used to sing this song, run down the ground vigorously swaying our hands ... and that used to be enough for a good laugh...we used to call DA... bin haddi ka hero. and remember Dev's favorite maa... Leela Chitnis.... he used to just collapse at her feet saying maaaaaaaaa.....in a typical tone that we again used to use to imitate Dev saab... Oh we had such fun at his expense...๐Ÿ˜†

Does that mean you will take up cudgels to save all tree-swinging primates, or only ones that get to act in movies, sing SD-Burman / RD Burman / OPN songs and star opposite beautiful heroines? ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜†
