Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 Ties Up

Zee TV's musical reality show, Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 has strengthen its reach by undertaking alliances with Sify, Radio Mirchi, Dainik Bhaskar, Sa Re Ga Ma HMV and Music World.

Speaking on the occasion, Tarun Mehra, VP-Marketing, said, "Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 has a unique format and has generated great reviews from the audience. We believe that these associations will strengthen our connect with the viewers. While each of the association has its distinctive reach, collaboratively, the benefits derived are immense."

Elucidating the alliances further, Mehra added, "The partnership with Sify will help us gather presence at the numerous iWay hubs and allow us visibility on broadband. Radio Mirchi is our partner for content on the radio, the music collaboration has been sealed with Sa Re Ga Ma HMV, which will record an album with the winners of the series and release a compilation of songs featuring the four musical maestros. Music World will be our retail partner for all the records."

Speaking on the association, Surya Mantha, Senior Vice-president, Interactive Services, Sify, said, "We are delighted to be associated with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005, which is an innovative blend of the venerable Gharana tradition with the nail-biting excitement of TV contests."

"As the exclusive broadband partner for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005, Sifymax will showcase behind the scenes footage not to be found anywhere else. Consumers will be able to interact with the contestants and their mentors through chat. For the first time ever, consumers will be able to record and send video messages to their favourite contestants and mentors through Sify's extensive nationwide network of iWay cybercafs." Mantha adds.

Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 is a musical reality show that extends beyond the participants and is a contest between four musical maestros – Adesh Shrivastav, Himesh Reshammiya, Ismail Darbar and Jatin-Lalit. Contestants selected from across 13 cities will compete with each other under the guidance of the four mentors. The mentors enter the battlefield armed with their respective teams in the quest to find the deserving winners.

How many weeks will this 3rd Round go on for ? As now they have 18
members left. For the 4th round they were going to be 8, also they will
still call back a few selected by the SMS.
The show so far has been very entertaining. A great show.

All these mentors, host, judges should understand one thing. This is a reality show to select the best singers in the country (from the given lot). None of them should directly or indirectly canvass or sympathise with any of the contestants. E.g. Vineet may be young. So what? he loses his sur so many times and always gives a reason that his 'gala baitgaya'???. So what if Joyeeta has come lambee duur (Assam)? Consistency and meritocracy should win the day.

Though I liked Abhijeet's sur sense, he meets our expectations inconsistently.

I agree with you on most of the points-
i think joyeeta deserved to be eliminated. This potential thing has been hyped a lot.....even in cricket ajit agarkar keeps on coming back because he has so called potential which he hardly shows.
Abhijeet is also very inconsistent and if he can only sing one genre of songs- he should stick to that.
Vineet is good but not as good as he is hyped...i think he will not reach the finals if the groups are mixed.

Yesterday i saw the SGMP uncensored....i realised that we are not shown the complete contest.

Abhijeet and paresh were asked to sing another song....paresh sang the song....there is a fast piece in the movie hum dil de chuke sanam...folk kind....he sang quite well, i was really surprised because this was definately not his kind of song. In fact himesh made a remark which is very correct- he said that he does not understand why singers are choosing songs which are not their kind...this is not a kids' play stage and here you are being eliminated and you should showcase your best..no point in trying to be brave and sing something which is not suited to your voice. He said that paresh should have chosen a modern song...even abhijeet has been making this mistake and has been choosing songs which are not his types.
Abhijeet, i think, sang jhonka hawa ka from the same film and was ok.

Even Vineeta was shown singing a song which we did not see in the original telecast.

Yes, Himesh's backing Vineet and Joyeeta is like Harbhajan singh saying Saurav Ganguly is still the best (and the only) gift God has given to the Indian cricket community. Common guys, lets stop this psychopancy and face the reality.
