Barnalidi, great topic 👏

I totally agree with u.. aajkal ke music mein na toh sur hain aur nahi taal..
bas yehi claim karte hain ki they are the best..

I totally disagree with someone saying that its the youth who want this kind of music.. Only if these kind of music are released, the youth will ask for more.. If we never release such remixes will the youth ask for it? And one more thing is that its the youth who are saying no remixes too.. Then why blame the youth for it

Now, If I am not a singer, I have no business to be singing professionally or making the masses spend money to buy a product which is not a gift of God, but a gift of mankind i.e. Computer.

now, my question to all here is that - When there is so much talent hidden in this country and nearly 100 singers come out every year with all the talent hunt put together, then why do we have to have besuras and do mixing with computer..

The song - Say na Say na from bluffmaster is a good fusion music... The dhol along with the western mix.. But the voice is totally computerized.. Why didnt they ask a good singer to sing that song instead of doing such computerization work..

I have had the privilege of attending a few Fusion concerts of Violin Maestro Dr. L. Subramanian, and believe me, I did enjoy it very much.

Yes Priya i agree completely. these people r the ones who really knw music and so give us the best.

i;ll give another example which by my opinion is fusion/world music personified, is the band, Shakti. Yu put Ustad Zakir Hussain & Mr. John McLaughlin 2gether. no way r yu going to b disappointed. If yu've ever heard their track 'Joy' its just amazing what the 4 members on this band hav created. its clearly nt western and clearly nt indian (no antra-mukhda structure, no alaap-jhor-jhala structure. kinda like one big taan. And we have arpeggios!). And seeing the interplays lik those between Srinivas and McLaughlin r enough to make a grown man cry. Listen carefully and yu will notice tht the musicians r sticking to a rhythm signature. Thy r also sticking to a certain scale/thaat. So the indian and western artists in this case improvise on a selected beat pattern and scale. and out of this total improvisation something new and astounding is created. the artists who weave around each other's music make the music ...simply incredible. This is wht i feel what fusion music should be.

Absolutely Agree with you on this example.. I was about to mention the name of Sakti and the track Joy.. Thanks to Vijayda for giving me the link to download them.. They are fabolous Fusion.. We get goosing bumps once we listen to them...

Kahaan yeh tracks aur kahaan yeh remixes.. Zameen aur Aasman ka kya, yeh toh Zameen aur Sitaron ka farak hain... Nice example barnalidi...
