Parthiv is an extremely humble and very down-to-earth human being. He is not interested in "asking" for playback offers, and that is another reason why he has not got any. He wants to be recognised on his own merit and not "begging" or "chamcho-fying" people for work. He is busy with creating his own shows and music, and has a big following among Gujuratis. I am hoping he is recognised for his tremendous talent soon and everyone can enjoy the beautiful music he makes. Thanks for all the positive comments, I am sure we are contributing in our own small way towards his success.

Hello Namitaji,

I am spellbound by Parthiv Govils performance of Ham Dil De Chuke Hai Sanam's song "Albel Sanjan Aaogi". Parthiv's voice quality if one of the best I hav seen in recent times. Nihira also was exceptional during their Yaman medley. Very good performance by all.

Wow! Thanks a lot Namita ji & Shailesh ji. It was a fabulous performance, the ease with which he sang such a difficult song is really amazing. Such talented singers should ideally be singing in our movies but then the kind of music that is being "generated" these days doesn't leave much hope. Please convey my greetings to Parthiv if possible.

OT: My friend today told me that he had seen Mohd. Vakil hosting some Gazal show on ETV (Urdu), does anyone know about it?

Yes, I do agree (very constructive criticism here) of having one thread for this concert, I did try (posted about my medley video link in the first thread on this) but then when I saw separate threads for each clip, I did the same. Can we do something about it now? Also I would like to make it "sticky"?..I am not too familiar with I-F. 😳

Regarding Sanjeev ji, after he acknowledged that he was in SRGM years ago, I told him that, courtsey Raghav ji (raghav64), I've 3 of his songs as mp3s. Then, (blame it on the Glenlivet), I went on say that I listen to his and Sanjeevani's "Pee bin soona" (one of my all time favorites) and compare those and found pros and cons in both renditions 😆. No reply since then... 😕

Thanks so very much Namitaji. You all are so lucky to have been there to see Parthiv's fabulous performance. His rendition brought tears in my eyes, much to the bewilderment of my 10year old!!

Parthiv has been the best contestant Saregama (or any other talent show for that matter) has ever had. I have always wondered how his career has been progressing. Thanks for all the info. Hope I too will get an opportunity to witness his perfomance one day. Wish all these saregama gems are invited once again to perform on the show..

What a singer! I am in a trance!

He is the best singer of SRGMP ... I really believe that(not that I have hrd all the performances). He is clearly better than most of the lead singers in Bollywood.

After hearing this song, I googled him and went to his website and downloaded Ktki Gulab... WOW! He sang the title Devdas track , can u pls tell me what it is? I mean, the one which was in the background? I think MDs like Ismail and ARR should utilize him so thqt we can get to hear more from him.

I thought he was Bengali 😃 ....and Varsha ji Guju's can singh too.. My Bhahbi is Gujrati and sings beautiful. She is a wonderful person too...love her. I am from UP though
