Unfortunately now a days playback singing is more dependent on fate and connection rather than talent. Just take any movie albums from HR, Pritam, or any new MD, you will find a bunch of new singers who are not that great. How do you think they get the chance. Connections.

No one and I mean No one from C2005 can match half the potential of few singers of old SRGM. To name a few- Md. Vakil, Parthiv, Mukund.

He has sung the background vocals for Devdas. Check out his website http://www.parthivgohil.com for more details about him. Please check details about his fusion band Aakruti. The average age if the members of the band is 20 something. Many of the artistes in Aakruti are child prodigies, playing their instruments since they were very small. Aakruti has performed in Mumbai many times, I have uploaded a couple of tracks from their live performance on coolgoose, do search on "aakruti", if anyone is interested.

Parthiv is an extremely humble and very down-to-earth human being. He is not interested in "asking" for playback offers, and that is another reason why he has not got any. He wants to be recognised on his own merit and not "begging" or "chamcho-fying" people for work. He is busy with creating his own shows and music, and has a big following among Gujuratis. I am hoping he is recognised for his tremendous talent soon and everyone can enjoy the beautiful music he makes. Thanks for all the positive comments, I am sure we are contributing in our own small way towards his success.

Yes, I do agree (very constructive criticism here) of having one thread for this concert, I did try (posted about my medley video link in the first thread on this) but then when I saw separate threads for each clip, I did the same. Can we do something about it now? Also I would like to make it "sticky"?..I am not too familiar with I-F. 😳
