So my mom said play some sad kishor kumar songs..she'll think you are crazy and leave you alone.I did the same thing..she came to my room and i proudly boasted my KK collection and played a CD. The song on was "chingari koi bhadke".. to my horror she not only liked the song ..she became a kishor fan !!!Then of course we became good friends. She has a very good collection and just loves his songs..But tragedy strikes everytime she tries singing along with the CD.. ๐Ÿ˜ญ ๐Ÿ˜ญ ๐Ÿ˜ญ .All hell breaks loose.

Yaar why does someone as great as KK always put you on tight spot? ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜•

OMG, Thanks for telling Jaya, i have some Japanese clients coming over the week after the next..now I know what I shouldn't do..๐Ÿ˜†

I was working with this Japanese client for the first time, and they were visiting our office for some discussions.. for our entire team, it was our first experience with the japanese client.. so in the meeting room, we had place arranged for the client at one side asn we were sitting on the side farther from the door, so that we could welcome them and it was easier for them to sit... seeing the sitring arrangement, we didn't understand what happened, they left and we never got the project...

later we came to know that in japanese culture, if you are seating a person closer to the door, you are asking him/her to go ๐Ÿ˜•

I have so many stories related with 'Singlish' - now I am used to it!

Another thing - here in Singapore - Every one in grocery shop or wet market call you Uncle/Auntie - irrespective of what's your age (like dada / didi in Bengal). My wife was furious when first time she went to an wet market and a middle age lady called her - 'Auntie' ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

Very much true.

On hearing the loud noise everyone came to see, but by that time we were in the hall by the back door.

Amogh - kuchh aise hi pathakhe Himmy bhaiyya ke ghar ke liye bhi bachaa ke rakhne the na! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜›

One more incident, one of my colleague in Singapore asked me whether she can borrow "Calcutta". I was ๐Ÿ˜•. She repeatedly asked for the same. I said I don't have Calcutta with me. She said, no you have it in the draw, can you please lend it to me for a while. I told her Calcutta is in India and I can't carry it with me. She told me no jokes, please give me Calcutta and I am in a hurry. Can anyone guess what she wanted?......
