i dont think there is any thread where chatting does not take place... and fanclubs r no different... but it is a place where u can post any new info, pics or any other thing about the contestants... it gives u a common place for doing that... and how is it harming anyone in anycase? all topics dont interest everyone after all... and u simply choose to ignore the ones that u dont like... u dont cut off and throw that section of the members away from the forum...

There's a lot of information about songs, photographs, concert pics, etc in the fan clubs. Its easier for people to look for information about ONE star in ONE post... rather than go through a gallery of 100's of pages just to find one pic of one star...

I understand. Maybe you are not doing it but there are others who are doing it. Just like you said democracy.... for that reason we will have to close all. Check some of the fan clubs topics and see if what I am saying is right or wrong.

I gave you all a choise of shifting them to music corner. But you all rejected that too. Complained about that too. So now no other way our but closing them.

Some of the fan clubs are doing nothing other than chat.... Check those topics and confirm yourself.

I gave you a choice to send them to Music corner but you rejected that. So is there any other choice for me than closing them.

sir u r closing fan clubs because they are chatty i can name many topics which are worthless and have no meaning but are still there they also have hundreds of pages like the one started by awww Make Someone's Day Virtual Singing and The one Tumko Dekha Toh ye Khayal aaya and the one which says Cutes couple they dont have any relevance to saregamapa at all so why not close them first instead of Closing Fan Club
Sir we do have a certain group of friends who meet at a particular place and that place is fan club we do discuss the celebrity we like and if we cant do that sir coming to India forums would be of no use
It is a scincere request to you to please reconsider your decision to close all the fan clubs please dont close our fan clubs it is just a humble request after that it is upto u to do whatever you feel is correct

It has already been closed. Rest as and when you all give me time to look into will definitely be closed.

do u mean to say the music corner is a chatting section? i have no problems with your rule as long as it is applied uniformly without any bias... just in the name of being chatty, u move fanclubs to another section - which initself is meant for topics that i mentioned earlier(music related), but which u decide to keep here...

I've been away for a week, so forgive me if I'm not up on the details... When you said democracy, I thought it meant that we (forum members) would also have a chance to vote... or give our opinions.. BEFORE the Dev Team hands out their verdicts on us.

I also have not seen a post where we were given a choice to move fan clubs to another place. Can you please tell me where this information is posted... and WHO decided that they didn't want to move?

Did one person or forum member decide for all Fan Clubs?

Since when have u bome the voice of the MODS?😕

Let me give you examples of chatting:

When people post messages like, "I'm off to sleep" or "I'll catch you tomorrow" or "where is everyone" or "how are you today" or "do you like so-and-so?" etc.

These kinds of posts are just small talk, and not very helpful. That is why they run to 100s of pages and thousands of messages. 😕

I agree with mods that there should be just one general sticky topic for such member-interaction topics.
