Thanks all!!! everyone makes sense here.. I would like to know if the Bollywood Producers do any kind of computerised survey to get marketing trends and then pick on a MD. After all this is all about money.

Not unless they have an MBA or something like that (to be that scientific...that gives me an idea...they should do an Apprentice India ). I think, in most cases, the Directors/Producers go with MDs they have previously worked with (if this has worked out for them in the past; relationshipwise, cha-ching wise etc). They probably do keep an eye on who's music is doing well on the charts and those type of sources.

I hope Mani Ratnam doesn't use HR next. 😆 Mani and ARR go so well together (and previously Mani and IR).

Could it be the "nose" factor ? The harsh reality to use a diverse musical outlet (like the deep echelons of the nasal chambers) compared to the time and again used vocal chambers of the throat .....

My friends and acquaintances started calling me skud both on account of my name initials (which spell out to be SKD) and my uncanny habit of catching someone unaware (in lieu of the missile by the same name) ....

Later I realized I was simply a skud by all aspects ... name or game .... So there it was coined ... Simplyskud ...
