Actor Aashutosh Semwal is counting his blessings after a brush with what could have been a life-threatening situation. The television actor, known for his grounded personality and work in Indian television, revealed that he narrowly missed being caught in a cloudburst that hit Dharali village in Uttarakhand.

Aashutosh had been in Dharali for a work trip but returned just a day before the disaster unfolded. “I’m safe, our place is safe. I’m thankful to God that I left Dharali just a day before the nightmare,” he told Times of India, still processing how close he came to danger.

Originally from Pipalkoti, a town located several hours away from Dharali, Aashutosh’s connection to the region made the news hit even harder. The images and videos from the disaster zone, combined with his recent visit, brought the reality of nature’s fury right to his doorstep.

While speaking about the incident, he praised the efforts underway to recover from the damage. “The government is trying its best to protect not only people but also taking measures to safeguard the flora and fauna that are suffering. I wish and pray for all for the recovery from the disaster,” he said.

Interestingly, Aashutosh is currently back home in Dehradun, helping his family with a far more joyful affair—his upcoming wedding in November. “As I wasn’t shooting these days, I was spending more time here in my hometown helping my parents who are preparing for my marriage,” he shared, his tone shifting from concern to quiet excitement.

He also admitted that his current break from work turned out to be a hidden blessing. “Had I not been free from professional commitments, things could have turned out very differently,” he said, clearly aware of how different the outcome could have been.

This unexpected twist in Aashutosh’s schedule has not only kept him safe but also brought a deeper sense of gratitude for timing, family, and life itself.
