Ek Chatur naar was really hilarious though I have 2 reservations about the song:
Manna De being shown as losing to Kishore Kumar.
Mockery of South Indians in the sense that Mehmood is shown to be an utter idiot.

But of course, one would quickly realise that it is a fun song, not meant to be taken seriously.

i think silsilas 'rang barse' was picturised very nicely. No Holi is complete without remembering that song.

OK here's another song "Aayeeye meherbaan" from Howrah Bridge. Madhubala looks absolutely dazzling. She is perfectly at ease with her drop dead looks and carries herself in the manner of Marilyn Monroe in this song! Ashok Kumar sits blushing while M goes to him and sings "shauq se lijiye ji ishq ki imtihaan". KN Singh casts evil looks at the pair. My only regret is that Ashok Kumar was paired with Madhubala. He looks like an uncle of hers.

Hey...you beat me to it...I was about to post this song as well.

Madhubala was looking so gorgeous in that number and she matched her looks with wonderful expressions ! Lovely !

I like "Aake seedhi padi dil par jaise katariya" from Half ticket. Kishore is truly amazing. His actions and dance are hilarious, and Pran is equally entertaining. The last step of Pran's dance sequence (the way he exits) is so funny!!! 😆 😆 😆

I also like the picturization of almost all songs of Ijaazat. All three (Nasiruddin, Rekha and Anuradha Patel) have acted so well in the movie. The story, Gulzar's lyrics, and beautiful music from RD Burman - the combination is extraordinary.

i loved Masooms "Tujse Naraaz nahin Zindagi' both male and female versions. The movie was very touching. I loved the way Shabana Azmi cries on the stairs after jugal Hansraj returns home. Pity they dont make movies like this anymore.

Masoom was one of the most touching movies i have ever seen.

Yes this one is really good. It's very touchy. Somehow the song and the picturisation brings tears to my eyes whenever I watch the song.

Wasn't Half Ticket hilarious to the extreme? I mean, one can die of laughing in that movie. 😆 One should see the movie at a time when one is contemplating suicide. I also like the picturization of "Woh ik nigaah kya mili tabeeyaetin badal gayi". Helen looks like an angel in that and you can make out the influence of Russian folk dance in this sequence.

Actually this song has been inspired by a Danny Kaye movie, forgot the name. In fact, Danny Kaye had a voice similar to Kishore Kumar (or is it the other way around?)

Absolutely moving! This song can be applied to so many situations in life, isn't it? And there is one line in this song which makes me cry.
