saregama ji, i totally agree with your views.. many Hemu fans argue that Nihira was given some hype while Hemu was not given at all.. I dont think Nihira was hyped to her true potential...

Hear her Rahen Na Rahen Hum, the song she sang when she left, it gives me goosebumps.. Nihira was a class apart..when I had first heard her, I thought she sang without feelings.. it was mechanically perfect but no soul.. but she really really worked on that.. her final few performances were just mind blowing..

Hemu on the other hand, I think was amazing with his imperfections..like he was not perfect..but there was so much of beauty in the mistakes he did.. and i loved his creativity.. even Nihira didn't have much of that..she never changed the original song much excpet Kajra Re.. Hemu changed all the songs he sang to suit his voice and sounded different each time.. The ending of his Tanhayee was better than the original..

True, if this was a judged competition, Nihira and Hemu wuld hav eprobably won with Vinit and Himani a close second and Debojeet and Ujjaini 3rd.. i thought thse 6 singers were really gud !!

Nihira and Hema are the real winners of challenge 2005.
Music industry should be proud of producing such singers like Hema and Nihira.
