i don't have anything against anyone, but why most bollywood singers are bengalis ???

u can take many famous persons(..) to many winners till date. & nbsp; is it fixed or there is no other person in this country who is a good singer? the winners like shreya goshal, ruprekha, now debojit are bengalis. i have a doubt that antara is going to become next indian idol2.

it just clicked my mind so i ask you people. check out the bollywood singers and then let me know

thanks in advance.

Most of the good singers are bengali's. It is because music is in the blood and culture of the Bengali's.

There were many many singers in the past who were bengali's. Its not new. So there is nothing to get shocked.

Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, and Kavita Krisnamurty are highly influenced by the music and the musicians from Bengal.

Mohini ji, No one is trying to compare anyone here. If you look at the film music industry in the past 70 years will will find that the Bengali's have contributed the most to this industry. I can give you countless number of names. If other states have given one person then Bengal has given five.

All regions have contributed to Hindi Film Music
Bengal is one of the primary contributor, so have other states
Let us leave it at that

There is no fixing here, when you listen to music you dont think hey Shreya has sung it or Lataji has sung it and I should like it,
if you like a song, you like it, then you see who has sung it

Khali peli ka dimag kharab kar rahe ho 😉

Don't blame others for regionalism as this thread is heading to the same. 😭

Go according to the thread and tropic.

Bengalis culture are totally different than other parts of India. Music, sangeet, literature, arts are part of bengali culture and you can find these if you visit to a bengali home. If elder brother is good in music then younger is in literature, writing scripts, poetry , and sister as artist.

So it's no doubt bengalis contributed much to film industry but i think we all are united and sangeet has no culture and community. I love lataji as mucha as asha , rafi, kishore da and sonu.

It is true that Bengalis have played a magnificient role in Hindi film music. I am not a Bengali but I love the atmosphere of music, drama and literature prevalent in Kolkata.

Durga Puja time is one of the best times to seep into the culture of Kolkata. In every mohalla, where the Goddess's idols are put up, there are stages alongside, where residents put up cultural programmes. So every budding singer, dancer gets a chance to perform to a live audience. This atmosphere of culture in which bengalis grow up automatically nurutures talent. Culture doesn't get this kind of encouragement anywhere else!

Is it not clear why so many luminaries have come from Bengal?
