Yes Bengal has lots of singers..

If u had observed this show from the begining,There were lot of Bengali contestants(Keka,Manjeera,Raktima,Ujjaini,Debo,Saptak ad many more)..No doubt they r very much talented..

So chance of Bengalis winning contest is more ( I dont think Ruprekha deserved it..)

I think Arpita deserved it. But again she is a bengali too.

Absolutely right, You will find in Bengal every house has AT LEAST ONE OR TWO SINGERS OR RATHER THE WHOLE FAMILY SINGS BUT ONE OF THEM IS A VERY GOOD SINGER. , THEY MAY NOT GET A CHANCE OR ALSO WANT TO BE IN BOLLYWOOD OR RADIO, BUT THEY ARE DEFINITELY SINGERS AT LEVEL ONE. I HAVE SEEN THAT. WHICH YOU WILL NOT FIND IN ANY OTHER STATES OF INDIA.

AND EVEN THE NON BENGALI SIGNES LIKE ALKA YAGNIK AND USHA UTHAP ARE FROM BEGAL AND MANY OTHERS TOO.

NO THEY ARE FROM BENGAL. PL WATCH BENGALI CHANNEL . THEY WERE SHOEING S. D's house where he used to sit and compose. Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey , Hemant Kumar all have their original house is Bengal.

Absolutely. Same is with me too. We all four sisters ( not one but all four) learnt music, dancing, stitching, painting and cooking. UNDER STRICT DISCIPLINE OF OUR PARENTS. I AM FROM MUMBAI AND A BENGALI. I VISIT KOLKATA AND MY IN-LAWS AND RELATIVES AR3 AWE THAT BEING BORN AND EDUCATED IN MUMBAI HOW WE MANAGED TO LEARN BENGALI MUSIC. I TOO DREAMT TO BE EITHER CLASSICAL SIGNER OR PLAY BACK SINGER. THATS BECAUSE IT IS IN BENGALI'S BLOOD.

When I go to Kolkata to meet my relatives, we have big addas where we all sing together or make up stories...
