Jaise puri and chhole, Makki ki roti and sarson ka saag, matar and paneer ki jodi mashhoor hai, vaise hi rasgulla and gulabjamun bhi made for each other hain..jo singer thorhi fair hai voh rasgulla aur jo thori sanwali hai woh gulabjamun...baaki koi slim and tall ho to use jalebi bhi kaha ja sakta hai...Baki is sweet naamkaran thread ke liye shukriya... 😃

I almost didnt read this post..thanks to the title Mr. Sinha...but then when I saw it was from you..i had to go through it..

I aint no expert in music...but definitely am among the millions of music lovers who decide the fates of all the wanna bes..the similarity between shreya and Nihira is the sweetness...and by way of the quality of voice they fall in the same category...lots of people feel that they wouldnt be able to carry of the item numbers which seem to be so rampant these days...but then Shreya has a Jadoo hai nasha hai to her credit..and when Nihira sang hare Rama in SGMP she shut up a lot of detractors...
so even tho' the millions of us may not be able to understand or pin poin the real reason behind the success of singers...at the end of the day it is the kind of grinding they have gone thro' in terms of training that goes on to decide who is gonna be a lambi race ka ghoda...
in my opinion both the ladies are definitely gonna go a long way in their careers!

Er... Both of them have got a very sweet voice, perfect for playback singing. I find Shreya's voice sweeter and Nihira's sharper.

I have always maintained that songs should be sung in such a way that it should make the listener feel the very essence of the song. In Devdas, though Shreya did a great job, Humesha tumko chaha by KK had that quality which Shreya's songs lacked. But Shreya has put feelings to the songs later sung like "Jaadoo hai nasha hai" and "Naam ada Likhna".
In the same way Nihira did not put soul into her songs earlier but her "rahe na rahe hum" made me take my words back.

I completely suck at making comparisons... sorry to disappoint you😳
