Other than sweet tonal quality of voice, extreme command over sur , both of them share many things in common. Both of them have a sweet face, look like college going girls. Their shyness is envious & concentration about singing amazing.
Both at one time have participated in saregamapa, Shreya actually won the mega finals of SRGM when Kalyanji-Anandji were judges, they were so impressed by Shreya that they offered her to be trained under them. For this Shreya's father took a transfer to Bombay from Kota. She was extensively trained for more than 3 years by KAji.
Nihira also has been a part of KA's little stars at one point. She also used to make waves as a child. She used to share same stage with Sunidhi & Annu Kapoor in Aao Jhume Gaye on DD. She is known to win singing competitons quite easily as a child.
Shreya is known to have made it big after SLB spotted her in SRGM and rang ID to make her sing for Devdaas. One can imagine how sthir is sur of Shreya by the fact that she was able to record the entire Bairi Piya song in one go...!! It is almost impossible to achieve this in a composition of ID who is known to have a heavy classical flavour and usually takes 5-10 days to record one song.
If SLB has now spotted Nihira for his upcoming film where music is being done by ID again, we can expect some sheer magic.
And yes one more thing in common, both of them give importance to education, despite her success Shreya took out time to pass graduation and now we learn that Nihira is also burning midnight oil to atone for what she couldn't read due to SRGM.
