ID got a lot of bashing for his arrogant comments.Hope Debu focuses on his singing and make such comments(like his mentor did) about fellow singers even before achieving any success.!

I meant "doesnt" make such comments :-).

I think ID's comments are justified. Music for Taal and Sathiya was overrated. It did not deserve awards when pitted against HDDCS and Devdas. He did not seem arrogant to me. He was just stating the facts. Sure Rehman is a genius and great composer, but that does not mean each of his creations will be great andthats why needs an award. I was shocked when Sathiya was chosen over Devdas. Other than 'Chalka Re" there's no song in Sathiya that created waves. Rehman turned out to be plain lucky to receive awards for those movies. In my humble opinion, ID deserved it more than Rehman.

totally agree with ID's comments when he says the music of HDDCS and devdas was superior compared to taal and saathiya

No doubt Devdas and HDDCS music is really good.But we should not be comparing apples and oranges.The music/theme is completely different from Taal/Saathiya.

iam surprised to some one supporting id on this issue...

I have read this earlier... jealousy and "angoor khatte hain" applies here.
ID is basically a child, says whatever, whenever he feels like- right or not.

hmmm.....what did id mean by my music is better than his. how do you compare two compositions when both of them are original. also sathiya has more beats and synthesized music, devdas has more old feel music. personally i liked sathiya better than devdas simply bcoz it was a much easy listening music and has me tapping my foot on it.
he got internationally recognised and a project on broadway bcoz his music has more beats and dare i say global feel to it(something that americans identify with). besides a stage show needs loud music, something like ids style of music would not capture the crowd in that instance.honestly i think all these music directors need a lesson in humility.

Music for couple of Saathiya songs was lifted from Backstreet boys music.

i feel he is a little jealous. def ID is a good MD but he isnt better than ARR......as someone said its a case of sour grapes......
