My 2 cents on this
I thought the songs given were too simple. They must have been superhits but lacked lasting appeal. Also they were definitely given songs from a bank of songs.

Clearly the show caters to what sells now. The judges were coached and said all the right things. HR made his usual pitch about Vinit. The biggest laugh I got was when he said Vinit, Pyar vyar bhul jao.. Afer all the attention he got with his natak. Again, if this is what gets votes so be it.
Another point I would like to make it is that Sunidhi and Shreya showed why they are the top two singers today. they were just awesome.
I have no interest in SRGMP if they continue this way next year.

Vinit is only 17, what does HR really think? that even after Vinit wins this contest, gets together with his girl, ok. But what if they split in next year or a couple of years, etc? What then? IS HR going to play Agony Aunt😉

What about his pleas, plz vote for vinit bcz he wants to win for his saccha pyaar.😃

Yes, he is 17 and HR promoted his sachcha pyar. What a sham! At 17, I was in love with every other girl I met. No way it was sachcha pyar. It is called infatuation.

What a salesman HR turned out to be. Influenced a lot of people and got the camera on himself and his chela. Wonder if he sold used cars in US before!!

Too bad, we're stuck with SRGMP for the time being. Good thing that I'll have a lot more options after I move back to India...

Yes, Raghavji, it was pathetic. 17 is a sweet age of falling in infatutaion. nothing more, nothing less. half of 17 yr olds must be in love with their teachers 😉 well, i was at that age. For vinit to think and get totally obsessed with it is natural, but HR 😕 Publicity ke liye kuch bhi. That is why I said, khuda na khasta if vinit and his girl were to break off, where would that leave HR? but by that time, matlab toh nikal gaya hoga, right?

Its all about HR's massive ego...
He doesn't give a rat's behind about Vinit's pyaar or anything. Does anyone know how old he (HR) is, BTW?

I am ready😉I can condone HR for his music, that is how we get to compare good with bad. How can we value good, when there is no bad to compare? But his behaviour is obnoxious🤢If he were a good person, his music would have sounded better😕

but my father wasn't happy at all with my escapades eventually resulting in enforcement of strict discipline, reduction in jeb kharcha wagerah wagerah..

Debo was good in jhankaar beats song..and vaada raha. Vinit is getting undue publicity all the time. He shouts in almost all the songs and when there is alaap he tries to sing it like a word with breaks, and tried to imitate sonu all the time. His voice is not soothing at all. Sometimes its better to call spade a spade, rather then being "unbiased".
It was an episode worth missing...altogether. With HR bickering over points..and then showing clips of maestros judging the show...any sane person would go back to old format. This was not the finale one would expect..frm saregama.

Agree with you, I agree Vinit needs to learn & train furthur under a true guru. Also with SRGM losing the old format now the zing is missing.
It used to be a learning exprience to listen to judges like OP Nayyar etc..
