Sir, pleease dont worry. No more challenge 2006 with Gharana style.

1. No music director is ready for once more. That icludes HR also.
2. Gs ji is also tired of all this drama.
3. Shaan will quit if he heard this?
4. Public is also tired of all tis drama.

Yes, everyone wants HR to be out, but I think the gharana system is excellent. Thatis what gives a backbone to this programme. There is a difference between a mentor and judge. The judge simply sits and judges and has not put any effort in training the contestants. The mentor on the other hand is a guru who teaches and enhances the mentee's capabilities. After teaching all he can, he sits back and judges along with the judges too. I think it is a wonderful concept, which is why SRGMP is so popular and is being so widely discussed!

A way should also be devised so that no one gharana gets all the good singers. Jatin Lalit lost out because they had less number of good singers as compared to Aadesh or Ismail. There should be some way by which each gharan gets the same number of good singers.

Coming back to audio visuals, I actually loved those AVs where the contestants were practising their songs with mentors. In fact, many times, I found that they were singing so well during practise, bereft of make-up and all the pressure of performing on a stage. I also liked the way mentors would sing with them to correct them. Just what a guru-shishya relationship is all about.

One aspect to be considered is: should a contestant be evaluated for his singing on one particular day or over a period of time? There was a tussle between Himesh with other mentors because Abhijeet was selected and Aishwarya was eliminated simply because Abhijeet sang well on the previous day.

I think when we have last 10, then points should be carry fwd. to the next round.

What if the contestant is not well ???

Another oppurtunity for him or out of the game show ????

If a contestant is not well, no retakes should be allowed. It's not fair. Everyone is going to have some problem or the other due to tension. It was not fair when Himani, who fainted in the middle of the show was given a second chance.

A lot of arbitrary things happened during SRGMP 2005. Things which should not have been allowed at all. For example, when one of the judges asked the mentors themselves to decide who should be the winner. That's how Aishwarya got ousted. The judge (was it Alka Yagnik) got away by passing on her responsiblity to mentors. Another time when one of the judges were unable to decide and said "hum in subko kal phir se sunenge". The judges must decide in whatever time they are allotted.

In the new SRGMP format, it must be clearly laid out what to do if there is a tie or if the judges are unable to decide who is the best.

I would also like to see some more debate between mentors regarding the quality of contestants during SRGMP 2006. For instance, what are the plus points and negative points of each singer? Where does he/she need to concentrate more? It is enough to say that the contestant sings well but must get better by practising more. Where exactly is the improvement needed? These kind of debates would help to increase the knowledge of the audiences regarding the nuances of music.
