Shubham ji,
I am not saying anything against hema..I like him. But sorry amey could have beaten him fair and square...maturity plays a big role in this contest. hemu is more mature than his age but still I have to give this to amey, this time atleast. and I am not comparing amey with any II conetestent. I thought he is a misfit there.

Raghav, you serious? it was HR? Then definitely Rahul saxena is better 😕

I have that video. Rahul was not at his best in that song. Sreekumar was good but even then Rahul is way above him. Should never have been a tie..It was shocking to say the least.

Once you involve public voting, singing talent alone will not get you there (think Nihira). You also need a dynamic personality and uniqueness. Hema was able to get this far because of those reasons, in addition to his singing talent; regional voting notwithstanding.

Raghav64, I dont think you have heard SAPTAK singing in SAREGAMAPA . If you had heard him singing , I know for sure that you would have reconsidered your comment immediately. SAPTAK is the BEST .He just ploughed through all the challengers in FAME 2005 and defeating VINIT in the process. Even in this contest he was way better than VISHWAS in the first round .But the judges thought that he was imitating Kishore da and so he got kicked out. If he had stayed on , I am sure that he would have been the eventual winner of SAREGAMAPA CHALLENGE 2005. I just hope he competes in CHALLENGE 2006 . Then you will all come to know who you are dealing with.

I have heard Saptak. He was definitely better than Vishwas and Vinit and Debo. I will reserve my comments about comparing him with Hema or Amey.

hey,
i have nothing to say here becoz i ve been
following SRGMP, only for the past one year..
and tat too only in challenge2005.. surely will follow
after this..

but ya, i ld say onething now, even if a person has
classical training, he cannot sing many of the songs well.. like hema singing on 26th jan episode and other songs where he brings classical touch in all the songs..

so, dnt judge anyone by their classical singing or training, its how u sing all diff. types of songs..
may be im wrong...
but, this is wat i noticed....

one thing is sure, SRGMP, has produced more talent than Indian Idol and also has a std in industry.. do u all think II ll gain the same popularity in industry?
no, its confined to only album recordings..

I think a classical singer can sing almost anything...a classical touch is a positive thing...that is why its called "classical".
voice can have limitations but not classical music...
