comparing II2 and Saregamapa 2005

I just watched the feb 6th gala on II2.
I seriously feel the best male contestent there amey date is much better than saregamapa 2005's top male contenstent...
may be all these saregamapa contestents are better trained but I will NOT give them benefit of doubt this time becuase if amey date can sing laga chunari mein daag still sail through. Why not saregamapa contestents with all the quality musical audience they boast of. These contestents have hardly shown any range....most of them found their own genre..and stuck to it. Its not the age for sticking to something, its the age to venture out in the open.....
Amey Date is a previous finalist of saregamapa so the foundation was very strong, I agree. But saregamapa has failed to establish any of the singers they produced. They had failed to give any exposure to hrishikesh, narayan, mohd vakil ( 😭 ) , bela and so many more talented contestents. Zee marketed them poorly....sony actually made fake stars out of likes of abhijeet sawant and qazi tauqeer...if they had real talent they would have survived. atleast people know them. on the other hand, saregamapa had real talent, all it had to do was just to project them nicely and we would be listening good singers more often. I think that is reason amey had to participate in II2, lack of exposure from Zee.
Thirdly, I would say the sonu nigam is a much better judge then all these mentors out together. He is fighting hard in that so called perfomance oriented show..to keep the music alive. His comments on participants are no nonsense...and always against showbazi......here the mentors are hardly talking about weaknesses of the contestensts...hardly anyone points out at dictions...nasality...
I know I would get a lot of flak from saregamapa aficionados like abhilash and niraj, but please contribute.

II-2 is better than SRGMP because the contestants and judges in II-2 are far better human beings than the ones on SRGMP.

Actually Mukhesh, Ive never seen II ever, in fact you will be surprised to know that it is aftera gap of 2-3 years I have been able to watch SRGM consistently.
But Im sad to see thhat standard of SRGM has gone down drastically, compare to what Shreya sang at age of 13 years with few female singers we had in top 12 no one deserves to be there except Nihira.
But I think the boy's standard has suffered most.

I didnt see the first Indian idol..but a lot of publicity made me take a look on the subsequent shows fame gurukul and previous II videos. and I was disappointed to see them making stars out of very ordinary singers. Having not seen the saregama for a decnet gap...I realized it may be that overall quality is going down...but this time amey date is participating in II after participating in saregama..I could not digest the fact. I think its publicity that you need first than talent comes second...and in the long run.

Amey and Karunya are really good. The rest are ok. Meenal Jain seems to be the best in the girls.
I think there are so many good singers out there, it is difficult to give a chance to all of them. Not all are really that good to be singing in films. I want to see how long Qazi and abhijit will last.
As for the judges, the SRGMP judges are not really judges. they are mentors and will be biased in their opinions. Sonu is the best of the lot of course

Karunya and Amey are very gud..u all a know a lot abt Amey

I like Karunya a lot..Classically trained.I still remember..hed won the show "Paduta teeyaga"..a very popular musical talent show in AP hosted by SPB garu

Please Dont compare Saregamapa with II2, the Standards set by Saregama is much more than II2. Look at the kind of voice which amey had.. he can never establish in filmy songs. Just deciding listening to one song does not proove much.. he is no where near Hema/Debo/Sharib. If u r a relative to amey.. tell this story in II2 forum.. not in here.

If amey is so good, then he might have already established himself after winning Saregamapa instead attending other reality shows.

There is NO WAY the II2 singers are better than those of SRGMP . Whoever started this thread should get his ears checked immediately. 😡 😡

I am pretty sure...people are going to chuck out abhijeet and qazi sooner or later...but I think they will be learning music atleast now...so that before people throw them out...they have other means to survive..aka talent,
very underrated but very useful in the long run.. 😊
