1. He has sung this song one and a half pitches below the original. In other words, if Hema's pitch is Sa, then Hariharan has sung at G1
2. In the original, the Priyasi..goes on for over 13 beats, Hema held the pitch for 8...which is average for any decent musician...
3. In the original...the Harkat at Priyasi goes up to the upper G..it is ri...ri ga ri sa ri sa...which is hard when you are running out of air. Hema modified it to ni ri sa ni da pa ma ma pa ma ga ma ga...(coming down the scale) which is easier...and modified the wait since he had to use up four beats.
Having said all this...I thoroughly enjoyed his voice quality, its resonance and its maturity. I truly hope to hear more from him. I really think my money to Zee was worth every bit just to hear these two wonderful children...Nihira and Hema.
God bless them for all their talent and hard work. To learn all these songs, their words, to memorize all this and deliver with so much finish is wonderful and I am truly impressed.
