I think they gave him a ten because they knew he was already out and could now afford to give him the accolades they never gave him when he was in the competition. They also did not want to appear like cheap bickering back biting low lives in front of Subhash Ghai...whose business they all need.

Kumar Gauravji, completely agree with your analysis from the technicality prospective. however all this aside having a song on hand, slightly adjusting it to suit it to your voice be it a difficult one or an easy one and singing it to complete perfection is an art on it's own. Hemu has done that and he was appreciated for that. You might have noticed Hemu has always sung songs in his own way which is originality. The only comment from AS which i fully agree on is that Hemu has a voice of his own and sings in his own original voice.

Attempting a very difficult song and messing it up completely is another thing because in my view you don't attempt something which is completely out of your league. Yes there were days that you literally had child stars in the making very good e.g. Shreya Ghosal but I think days have changed music has changed. HR's music is soo simple just listen to the beats whereas ID is totally classical.

So I give full credit to Hemu, has a long way to go and yes is definitely another star in the making. HATS off Hemu !!!!

What's important is that he sung it so well. The effect he had on audience said it all.

And as I said earlier he did alter the song a bit but its acceptable. Ofcourse, this format cannot compared to the earlier one which required the singers to sing more classically based songs to impress the judges.

Hema is capable of a lot more than this.

I do not understand the fuss over these types of songs. the way the MDs were going wah-wah, I almost thought it was staged. Seriously if any of these singers want to make it to the Bollywood industry, they should be prepared for these songs. I could have picked on any other contestant and said the same but then I will be accused of being biased.

I don't think anyof us ever said it was a difficult song,What specially I meant was The way Hemu Sang the song, and that Preyasi for about 15 sec and then the clasical touch if u hear tehe original song u'll know what i meant, and the (Dard)He sang it from the heart, If u've noticed all three Mentors were Stunned after a long time all three reacted Specially ID, cause after that walk out he stopped praising anyother contestants than debu even he was stunned, and the public was clapping and cheering for the longest time I'm sure it was edited or else Audience maybe clapped for 30 mins:P he he he... also Shaan said this is the best performance of SRGMP ever, i don't know if I really explained i think we should get someone like (AWWWWW) to comment :P cause i'm not that good writer :(

Chhu kar mere manko is an easy song but Kishore was just to good, infact too mmmmmmm... 😉

Not comparing hemu to kishore but just saying that singing easy songs that well deserve an applause too 😛
