What about Abhrokanti - -that kid should have been allowed to compete --
he would have blown away these guys! Plus he would have gotten all the
votes of the under 10 crowd and the Ramakrishna Mission crowd!

I dont know much about music as i always said so i rely on adwarakanath's judgement. He knows much better than most of us. However, I just heard that song and i liked it very much. I was imagining Hema singing it and i think he would have done justice to the song.

Yes it was indeed Aishwarya. Usha ji and Meena ji were the judges. In fact she gave her a choice of 2 songs and this is the one Aishwarya picked and sang it amazingly well...

I remember an episode with Ronkini and a girl named Nupur I think during
some series (Golden Voice Hunt?). Sanjeev Darshan were the judges and
requested them both to sing this in the judges choice round. Both girls did
a good job though Ronkini did better.

I also want to mention some very talented girl in the children's series who
also did a great job with this song. Yes -- I really think that ability to sing
this song shoudl be a qualification to even get to participate in SRGM.

Ronkini's voice quality was definitely better. From what I remember, she started the song on a higher scale than she should have. I remember, her voice cracked when she went up to "daali daali kaliyon ko titliyaan choome" and she lost (I think) in that round...

I think Nihira, Abhijeet goshal and Sanchari (10 yr old girl i have seen with glasses)
