Gajendra Singh says one of the judges is out to nix Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

The plot thickens. After walk-outs, show-downs, tears and trauma, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge producer-director Gajendra Singh now claims that one of the judges on his show is out to sabotage it.

"I haven't slept for more than forty-eight hours," says an anguished Singh. "My show is is in jeopardy. My show is being reduced to one of those cheap reality-television programmes on the other channels where contestants pretend to faint and then they are revived when water is sprinkled on them. I've been doing the show for more than a decade and have never been visited by this kind of trouble before." Singh reveals that the most recent scandal on the show, namely the threat by three contestants Vinit, Hemachandra and Himani to quit and their effort to malign and discredit Debojit, have been orchestrated by one of the judges.

"It was he (refuses to disclose the identity) who instigated those innocent kids into behaving in this fashion. He couldn't bear to see another judge steal all the limelight by staging a walk-out," he says. "So he decided to be a star-judge in his own right. His conspiracy backfired and my show suffered in terms of credibility. I plan to expose this man who abused the guru-shishya relationship after the finals. At present I need to salvage the show and boost the finalists' morale." In a startling revelation, Singh defends controversial contestant Debojit's alleged ULFA links. "What ULFA links? I agree one of the Sa Re Ga Ma assistants did receive a call from someone claiming to be part of ULFA. But has anyone verified Debojit's connection to the call?," he asks. "Are we hounding him just because he has support from his home- state Assam? Vinit's mother has gone on record accusing this particular judge of dubious intentions. I agree, Himani's elimination from the show was tragic. But the show must go on, and it will."

WHODUNIT?

Ismail Darbar: Stormed out of the sets, on-camera, when his favourite contestant Nihira Joshi was eliminated, only to return to the show later. He stormed out again on the same day, protesting against the alleged partiality displayed by Srivastav and Reshammiya. Darbar alleged that the two gave less marks to his protege Debojit.

Adesh Srivastava: Threatened to quit the show on the grounds of co-judge Ismail Durbar's high-handed behaviour. The two were involved in a verbal dual where neither minced any words.

Himesh Reshammiya: Midway through the contest Reshammiya was awarded a Brahmastra, which enabled him to get two contestants (who've been voted out) back into the show. The two contestants were Paresh and Ujjaini. Reshamiyya also claimed that he had given offers to aspirants, which miffed Jatin-Lalit no end.

Jatin-Lalit: They were peeved by the tall claims Reshamiyya made about giving some of the contestants the much-needed break. They claimed that these so-called offers rarely materialise in the music industry.

Intresting !!!! Very hard to tell who. AS is jerk but he is frnds with gajji and i dont think he would destroy the show. One thing abt AS is we all can see wat ever he is. He doesnt hide like HR does. HR talks good n stabs on the back. With Vinit's love story he has bored us to death and i think he is one who might be Jealous of attantion ID got . I would say HIMESH is the rotten egg and he is going to destroy all for Vinit too.

We in the United States get to see the show later. My wife is a talented singer originally from Mumbai and feels that the most talented participant was Nihira Joshi. She focussed only on Singing. Zee TV made a mockery of her by showing how bad a dancer she is.

Voting out Nihira was acceptable to Vineet, Himani and Hemachandra, while Debo's #1 spot (for once while all three have been on #1 spot before in public voting)was not acceptable.

Hats off to Nihira that she gracefully stepped aside and was not involved in dirty politics. It is the prize that is at stake, not the singing anymore.

The updates for the 26th Jan 2006 Episod... ( Republic Day Special Episod)

Everybody enters and have a heavy discussion on the what ever had happened in the last episod.

More over It was also discussed that, ULFA threat.. but ... GS has conformed that they did not receive that. and what ever is there it is just rumor. More over participent were telling that they had received the phone from the ULFA particularly HR and Vinit, had been answered that .. GS had complete log of the phones who make phone calls and who receives the phonecall on the Phone as well as on the Mobile.. it clearly indicate that what ever the phone had been received that are for the best wishes to DEBU and his family. NOT A SINGAL PARTICIPANT HAD BEEN CONTACTED FROM ASSAM. SO it proves that this participant is just making excusses for votes.

More over highest voting trend is from the North East... is there.. compare to all other region.
Infact highest numbers of over all votes comes from Eatern States... and on that base it is true that contestant got the Home ground benefits.

Then after all the drams starts of HR and Vinit that all rubbish that.. We are star Vinit.. and if we will not win over here then we will find other way to win dont worry for that ... then HR says..... " You have to Win for your LOVE and Maa..... " people dont understand this things, now we will make people understand by singing.....

then there was really Hot discussion between AS and HR that what do you mean that Public is not understanding the music, Public is imotional fool, this all can get you votes for one or two weeks but then after you will not. People needs quality and Himani and Hema has that and they are singing there own voice.. not try to do Apple to Apple...... " ( you understood that he was telling about the Vinit... that he is copying Sonu Nigam and Rafi Saheb).
AS also appriciate Debu that though there was too many thing in between the final and all but he sail through, He admits that.. now a days he had improved a lot and he also developed his own quality voice... More over AS also admits that when I heard first time Debu and now it is really nice soft and deep voice.. More over he also told that if Debu was leaving and grown up in BOmabay , he could have better toned voice, b'cos he could get the better exposure to the MUSIC and learning.

HR was doing all kind of tricks to show up Vinit is the best... Now ID was mad on HR and fighting starts...

Then GS had request to follow the schedule and finished up with the shooting.

Then shan comes on stage but it looks to disturb with the Vinit,and Himani. He was not that much energetic today compare to other days... as an anchor....

He also introduse the Prinka Chopara..
Then Prinka Chopara come to stage and she talks and she says that though she was in Delhi and Saregamapa is shooting the 26th Jan's show and it is Republic Day special, so she specially come from Delhi to attend the show... so she personally request to HR AS and ID not to fight today.....

then show starts as Vinit dont sings today and there is suspance on the show.......

Hema sings excellent songs .. that are
1.Ae watan tere liye (Karma)
2.Bande mataram ( AR Rahman)

It was excellent performance given by the Hemu ... Ithinks this performance worth 100/10.

Then Debu come on the stage.....
Another rubbish Drama from HR and trying to pull leg of Debu and then ID ask stright to HR that " What is your problem " "Kyan aap kisi ki pragati Nain dekh sak te ."

then HR was told by the public that " Hame Gana sunan hai "
Public cheers " Debu,....debu... debu ... "

It was an amazing performance... what a control of the voice.. and singing like a flowing water..... Excellent
then starts next song.

It is excellent singing both have there own voice.. but today the way debu had performed it is excellent .... I dont know how to say Mind Blowing is style.... but I can say that ..... Everybody's Everything is Blowing with this kind of performance.... "


HR seems totally Blowed out.... NO Comments ... OMG...

Part 2

As this was s special episod, there were special guest for singing and both Nihira and Himani was invited.

Both had given the extra ordinary perfomance:

Himani and Nihira sings following song:

Comments:

Nihira sings excellent that song and everybody becomes emotional and it was excellent performance and one of a kind singing from her.
Himani sings but not up to the mark... and it sounds little bit flat as that song is not for her... but she overall attempts good.

Good singing.....

Finally the time to raise the curton from SUSPANCE:

That Vinit sings in this episod......

It was excellent attempt , it was nice singing but not up to the mark like Hema and Debu.... More over insted of singing in his own voice he tries to copy the singing .... but his try to attempt was nice...

Now HR stnad up and all the dramas for once again for LOVE ...
But no of use.. public in studio once again boooooooooooo on that... and then HR stops......

As it was decided that In this Thrusday there will no elemination but this result will be impliment on the next shooting and next episod and the votes will be counted until next week ....

After this week counting votes are as follows:
Debu: 44% Total Votes ( Number 1)
Hemu: 34 % Total Votes ( Number 2)
Vinit : 22 % Total Votes ( Number 3)

So, as per the challange rule Vinit is out this week, but this all votes will be added in next week and one more factor will be consider for elemination is Vinit's whole drama for the walkout last week. So, finally not this week(b'cos of special episod ) but next week there will be elemination of Vinit will take place...

But after discussion of everybody in the back stage and Mentors that Vinit is been out from the contest and final will be between .... Debu and Hema.

Reason for the Vinit's elimination was " His drama( He had accepted, was telling that he got the phone call from ULFA and all ... but GS had given him the total detail log of phone calls and there was not a singal call on his land line or cell phone from ASSAM or from any Estern State i.e. he is lie and withdraw himself from the contest on the stage)and opposing the public voting and total numbers of votes last week.

Whole update completes and this special episod will be telecated in two part....

But it is sure that Vinit is gone.... ....


As per my info nobody still out. The game is still on anything can happen and i am sure its going to be a very close affair. So keep voting.

Dear Vijay and other members, i totally agree with vijay and other members who agrees that HHV should have not threatned to quit the show. Vinit said that they should have quit when nihira was out...but i think they did'nt consult debo...if they (HHV) have discussed the problem with Debo he would have also supported them but it was Conspiracy against Debo

There is no single winner. The participants, judges, music directors, Zee personnel, Gajendra Singh and of course the voting public have all lost their face. Everyone's EGO is at play here,and hence all are losers. Gajendra Singh is the biggest loser for converting an interesting program into frienzied show of regionalism. This has percolated down to this newsgroup too based on the partisan letters.

I think Himani, Vinit and Hem did the right thing in boycotting the program. I am not too happy that they gave in the next day. These were the singers whom the mentors gave 10-10-10 most of the time.

I just LOVE Himanis singing and her husly voice. She is practically perfect. And Vinit and Hema are there right alongside her. I wouldnt even waste my time listening to Debo in a free concert.

Debojit is clearly not in the same league as the above 3. Vinit pointed that out ( "We all know how we sing") without really pointing out to Debojit.

And I cant believe what a liar Ismael Darbar is! He was constanltly asking the public to vote for the best singers otherwise we will end up with mediocre ones and India's name would be mud. WELL ! Mr. Darbar you are the one screwing up India's music. And I bet you wont take Debo in your movies !

I think Sa Re Ga Ma is responsible for the whole mess.

Anyone wanting to really win, could set up 100's of phones to call every minute.

A powerful politician or person cud get the phone company to send out millions of sms's instantaneaously. And thats what I think happened in Assam.

I even think someone could set up a computer program to send out millions of sms overnight.

Its a fairly simple matter to restrict to one vote per phone thereby eliminating some problem.

Needless to say I loved Sa Re Ga and watched it like a hawk. 😃

It is really untolratable. Vineet, Himani and Hemchandra MUST be disqualified on creating this nonsense drama. this was a wonderful show and no one have any right to create a scene like vineet has been created. I don;t know why Gajendra Singh allowed them to sing and perform again on that show.

It is a game and now ball is in ppl's court. The voting has been decided to get real challenger.

If I will be place of Gajji, I would definately kick on their ass . Himani's mother was looking so arrogant and did not even apologized for her duaghter.

I am not favouring anyone but the game rules must be follows.

All of these three ******* ( Vineet, Himani And Chandu) must be disqaulified from thios shows. the main accused for all this drams is Himesh reshmiya's *** LOVE. He must only provoked Vineet to do this drama and created a scene. If Isamail Darbarr did not acknowledged to himani's apology, He is aboslutely RIGHT. Where was Himani's AKAL when whe was playing a drama. Did she sing well than Nihira? To my Opinion. Nihira is the only candidate who deserve this winning but publicj voted her out. Why at that time no body was bark like they do now when debu ranked #1 in voting?

It's a game and everyone knows that ball is in public's court than why the hell they are creating a scene?

well i read the info on the 26th jan episode and that vinit is out...i think he deserves to be out because of his audacity last week. infact i think poor ID would be regretting why he gave that precious Rs.50/- note to a brat like vinit.
i also feel that this whole thing has been satged together by HR and AS, that is why inspite of the fact that JL gave debo 9 on the qawali performance both of them in the khichdi they had planned gave debo less and then they must have instigated their students to satge this walkout the next episode and it but it all back-fired and it shows from the fact that vinit has lost in the next round.
