you see.. hema himani and vinit are both 17 ... as u see they are kids .. they are my age and basically they acted with impulse ... i see justice in their doing ... and for crying out loud debojit cant sing .. for the past few weeks everyone must agree that he has soemthing wrong with his throat .. alright fine he isnt that abd of a singer .. but comapred to the others hemani didnt desrve to leave .. this is an unfair competition and either they call off public voting or they figure out how to restrain .. and nihera shouldnt have been kicked out .. she has an awsome voice .. and she didnt desrve to be voted out

First of all, this show is the best Z has to offer. It is the forum where the young talented boys and girls have had an opportunity to show what they can do. When we grew up in India, we did not have the luxury to show our talent.

Personally I have been singing both Indian popular music/gazals and Western music (love songs of Nat King Cole) for the past 30 years with a few popular demos. I know what music is.

This idea of leaving to public to decide who is the best possible playback singer is totally wrong. This should have been done by music masters and not the public.

Regarding the three young singers, Himani, Hemchandra and Vineet walking off the stage is totally unacceptable. If they belived in the public opinion, then they should face the 'music' as they say it in here in the US.

In any case, in my opinion, all three girls Nihira, Hemani and Ujjaini are excellent singer. If one has to decide between these three, my vote goes to Nihira as number 1, folowed by Hemani, and then Ujjaini.

Among the boys, the best singer is Debojit, followed by Hemachandra and then Vinit.

Among the mentors, the real great person is Ismail Darbar. Others are neither fair most of the time and nor are they great in terms of their accomplishments.

we from the north east get some relief that not all from the rest of the country think the way the three walkouters and their mentors think.while the armed forces fight their heart out to contain terrorism in the north east these irresponsibles only strengthen the hands of the separatist elements by saying things like debojit is assam's voice and not india's voice.for people who object to debojit getting 80% votes from north east, here are some points to ponder
1. NE is a region of the country comprising of 7 states which is more than 4 states of south india from where the bulk of votes come for one of the walkouters.
2. bulk of vinit's vote came from his home state. not debojits fault that they could not match upto him.
3.all participants have appealed in their mother tongues. does one expect a punjabi to understand whatever "tappa konda....." means?
4.had it been qazi touqueer in place of debojit, would the others have walked out on the plea that he is getting more muslim votes?
5.if 80% votes from north east makes the contestants and their mentors go mad , why are they still staying in India whose prime minister is elected by 100% votes from Assam( not even north east!!)
6. if we north easterners are wrong in voting for debojit, is Reshamiya, Adesh right in giving 6 and 4'rs to debojit compared to 10 for others.

Completely agreed with jad in that occation that Ismail darbar is the only mentor who is completely neutral. The other two were more personal.

What the hell? Debojit should have been out way before. Ismail Darbar is such a cry baby, why is he crying? He left the show and the was wrong. Jatin lalit did not do that when his folks were voted out.

Whats next Debojit? He is a begger and makes us feel bad for him, so people can vote for him. Himani sang so good and I am shocked to hear that she is out. Debojit got highest vote, there is not way. Vinit and Himani sang better.

The best way to avoid this multiple voting is to force for two votes for each entry. Means any entry for vote must have to vote for two best singers. Vote with single entry should be rejected. In this way with each regional vote we will have one genuine vote which can be common choice for multiple votes.

Thanks

Neither the mentors/contestants had any respect for the Judge's decision (Remember: prior to public voting started, judges used to decide the winners 😉 ) nor they have any respect for the public opinion 😡 Very poorly planned show 😆

I thought "surgeon" really used the right method of incision to analyze the situation :-)

Anyway, just like personal life events (such as, divorce, marriage, drunk-driving) of the (typically, billionaire) entertainers (* Khan, * Kapur, or their relatives w/ different surnames) do not change my life or the lives or my near and dear ones, similarly who wins in Sa-Re-Ga-Ma-Pa is not going to change much that is very relevant to me.

But, here are a few casual observations based on watching last 3-4 month's episodes (no offence intended to anyone):

1) Mentors:
a) HR's comments about a singer's performance gives me a good vocabulary of English language adjectives (e.g., mind-blowing, fantastic, ...) and also some additional details of one of the singer's prem-kahani.

b) Aadesh S. is a very crooked guy. If he wants to bring down someone (typically for his personal gains), he does not feel ashamed to do it in any way he can (even if his intentions could potentially be understood by some of the (TV) audience).

c) Ismail Darbaar is a very fair and straight-forward guy.

2) Experts:
a) Daler-Mehndi knows Math and is very objective. He gives you the score: e.g., 6 mistakes vs 4 mistakes.

b) Non-music experts are useful only for increasing the number of viewers. From music point of view, they are totally useless (just as HR's "Prem-Kahani of Vinit").

3) About the Artists:
a) Himani and Vinit are over-confident. "Cool" Himani was wearing a T-shirt with "FCUK" written on it which I thought bordered on offensive, esp. from a 17-yo Indian (girl), unless of course there is something non-offensive with that spelling that I am not aware of.
b) Hemachandra's family knows how to camapaign.
c) Debojit's wife cries a bit easily.
d) Debojit is a nice and sporting guy, respectful to elders, and sings some songs very good.
e) Nihira is a very good singer who will best perform as a playback artist. Also, her mother has an exemplary attitude towards life which probably gave Nihira the sporting attitude in accepting an unexpected ouster.

4) Regarding the format:
The day Shaan mentioned about possible Calcutta/Bengal vote-split between Raktima and Ujjaini, I felt strange. Then, of course, I saw some video they showed about the campaign in Hyderabad. It went on. I did not think that was a good thing.

5) Walkout not justifiable:
Once you agree to a contract, you cannot walk out unless the contract has been violated. If you do, you forfeit. So, HHV should not have done that.

6) Misc:
Also, I kind of like the closure idea (Himani is Vinit's love target and Hema is Himani's classmate) that someone suggested as a possible justification for the HHV grouping. Who knows! :-) :-) Hey, this is entertainment. Do you know how much money Jerry Springer made with his obscene fight shows!!! :-) :-)

7) Artist's careers:
Career will not be made just by becoming #1 in Sa Re ga Ma Pa. If you leave out the Mumbai flat and one contract, I think, all of the good ones (Raktima, Sharib, Ujjaini, Debo, HHV, Nihira, ...) all are capable of using their enormous talent -- with good career management help and with perseverance -- making it big. Good luck to all of them. Each of them (and us) is unique and will find their own managers and types of music in which s/he will excel.

My 2 (maybe 7) cents :-)

Hi !
I am in US, so haevn't watched all that happened. Heard that someone posted a video of the show in
India-forums, can anyone tell me where and how to find it as I am new to India-forums.

While we are at it, I think that in the last six it could have been anybody's bet. They are all very very talented. I personally like Hema and Himani, Debojit and Nihira best. But I keep voting for Debojit because I feel he is very underrated and deserves more than what he has as his share of publicity (he is married and doesn't have a over hyped love life). So if you like more than one who do you vote for?
Technically we should vote for the best performance, but then we also know that some days are bad for one or the other and try to save them also. I dont think public voting is right as we all tend to get emotional and vote who we like best.
Also the way Nihira made her exit was really remarkable. Hats off to her. They did not walk out then......she is as good a singer as her, if not better. Why cant the rest three have taken insipiration from her. Walking out was highly uncalled and regretful, this will reflect badly on there future careers.
