But listening to Himani sing today (especially the one from Sadma) and her speech moved me to tears. Kya badappan hai us bachhi mein. I just pray that she attain great heights in her career. She is so cultured and full of grace, God Bless her.

Us bachhi main baddapan nahi hai, I think she is the mastermind for the walkout. Mujhe bhe woh achhi lagti thi, but she is not better than Nihira. After Nihira is gone her quality of singing has gone down.
Furthermore, the only type of songs she is singing for past several episodes is folk in punjabi.
When I hear someone saying that we want India's voice and then question Debojit, I feel debojit is also an Indian why we have to question him on getting votes from north east which itself is part of India.
I will vote for Debojit in future.

Me-Unique - your post is great, just one clarification - FCUK is the brand signature for French Connection.

First BIG Mistake of Zee – making this show 'democratic'. I am not against democracy, but unfortunately it comes with own demerits – if the singing talent need to be judged by public – put their voice on radio (without any stories like "Devotion to Mother", "Secret Love Story" or "Sacrificing Wife"). Nihira didn't have a story – so she lost. BTW by public meter – "No Entry' is better movie than "Black" and Britney Spears is better Singer than Elton John. On that same tone the best song in Bollywood last year was "Dhoom"!!!??

Why Zee did it? Rs 6 per SMS – Rs 3 to the operator – Rs 3 to Zee, 60+ lakh vote per episode – you do the math. They killed the show.

Second they started displaying regional voting pattern – why??? I don't have any clue.

Hello all - one of my friend here in Singapore, Asuthosh (an avid music lover, who owns a 40GB iPod and a iPod Nano) deleted all the songs of AS and HR from his iTune after watching the last 2 episodes in streaming video format (we are one week late in Singapore)!!!!!

Agree with you completely. In fact I feel if Debojit has a little bit of decency in him, he should be the one to walk out.

Dear All

The controversy surrounding the Challange 2005 aired over India last week shows the flaws in the system. We will get to view that in our region this week. It all seems so unfair.

I have mentioned before that the mentors especially Himesh Reshammiya is influencing the public voting wanting only Vinit to be the winner. The organisers have blundered by showing the viewers what the performers are doing socially. This is getting them sympathy votes. Eg Debo's work in old home and Vinit's promise to his mother and the tears. Sadly Himesh Reshammiya is also blinded with Vinit. Good or bad he wants Vinit to be the winner.

Ar this juncture we sshould be looking at the quality of the singer and his performance and not influence votes. Sorry Himesh Reshammiya if I have to vote for the Mentors you will not get mine and many more will not vote for you.

Aadesh Shrivastava and Ismail Darbar have showed transparency as mentors and have appealed to the public to vote for the singer n performer who is the best, be from any gharana.

This is true in the sprit of sportsmanship.

Sadly Nihara who was a better singer in the paticular episode which she was knocked out. Debo sould have been out as he very noticiabally went off key, but sympathy votes saw him through. The mentors gave him 4 and 7 points, and yet the voters voted him. WHY?
Was that the order of the day?
Was that fair?
Sad she had no sympathy votes. Does that explain it.

Now I understand that Himiani is booted out. How can this be? Does she deserve to be booted out.

I stopped watching Indian Idol for the similar reason and now call the programme Indian idot. The judges are influencing the voters and it seems like they have decided on the winner just like in SA RE GA MA PA.

Can anyone comment?

I must coment Jatin-Lalit, Aadesh Shrivastava and Ismail Darbar for a wonderful job well done and the transparency they have displayed. I regret that I cannot say the same for Himesh Reshammiya.

She just deserves to be kept to wipe vinti's tears. She has a bloody chakkas voice. She can sing only punjabli type songs. Other songs that she tries to sing is simply hopeless. She has attempted Latajis songs which I felt was sung more in a male voice than a female one. She can be appreciated only by her chumchas aadesh, himesh and vinit, who do not know abc of songs. And u idiot please stop calling Debojit a beggar okay. Himani tho beek mang mang ke bhi use bheek nahin mile, isliye deko woh tho out ho gayi. Aab bBeek mangne ke din tho aadesh, himesh aur vinit ke aayenge.

Asha, i have also heard Vinit's dad saying those words which is quite disgraceful be it for Mrs Debojit or any one. If the father is so, then what sanskar he can give to his sopne hence the entire DRAMA

I am new to this forum and has been reading the views for sometime now. My points are :

1) Let's keep aside Debo for a while. Most of us arguing that may the best singer wins. I think Nihira is the No. 1 singer among all of them (even most of the people in these forum thinks so) and she should be the one to get maximum nos of votes from Rest of India than Hema/Himani/Vinit (as someone in this forum told that Rest of India has much more musical sense than NE). Then why was she got voted out ? Also, Sharib's ouster proves the same. All these proves that however hard we try & shout to become impartial, we are not. We all have our own favourites deep inside our mind & voted accordingly. Now after Nihira's ouster I think we have no right to question from where they are getting votes & the best singer should win bcoz the best is already out.

2) There was a huge hue & cry that Debo got 80% vote from NE and 2% from Mumbai, 2.6% from Delhi, etc. Now for those who wants to say that he is not the voice of India, I just want to point that 2% of [x no of votes] can be greater than 6% of [y no of votes] (which vinit got from Mumbai). Then who will be considered the voice of India. So we can't comment like this without knowing the actual no of votes each has got.

3) If these three believes that they are the best, why don't they try in the bollywood playback directly (as they are already a household name) instead of wasting their precious time in the competetion. Also, vinit had the audacity to tell that he can judge how others are singing. What's the use for him to continue, he can then sit beside the mentors and judge. If they are so arrogant now, God knows what will happen when they really become stars. India would be much better off without these arrogant singers. Previously, I rated Hema more bcoz I believed that he was better than those two (both as a singer and person) but he also let me down.

All these are my personal viewpoint and not to offend anyone.
