Well friends,

Today we witnessed too much HIGH Drama on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 today. Debojit got maximum votes and is in the safe zone. (Congrats to him). He got 80% of the votes today from North East India alone. (Fair Enough)😊

And due to this the remaining three decided to walk out from the show and this triggered some heated debate among the audience and the mentors as well. And the SHOW had to be STOPPED in the middle.

Personally I think walking out of the contest/game was unwarranted by Vineet, Hema & Himani. As none of them was really able to answer properly to the reason "why". Well if its because of "Regional voting" then I have my pity on them cause this is not a new thing.

Whats the point raising it NOW as it is the format of the show to allow Multiple Voting so they cant quit due to this. And if it was planned beforehand and is against Ismail Darbar then why they waited for Debojit to go in the Safe Zone.

There is one more question which comes to my mind. If we are looking for a really genuine results through public votes. If we really feel the best and deserving should win then we should first of all stop "multiple voting" which will encourage many individuals like me who feel that my ONE vote wont make much difference and even the result is not going to be FAIR so why I PUT my money on anyone.

We encourage some serious discussion on this so please do not drop ONE liners or try to deviate from the topic and please be Rational!

Cheers,
Vijay

I totally agree with you vijay. It was most childish and undesirable thing that happened in any reality show. The essence of the show i.e., taking challenge was lost and spirit within audience atleast within me died when I saw trio walking out. I am a great fan of vineet and himani but after watching them going down to such a level and without any explanation I really felt disoriented that to win anybody can go to that level.

I think taking up challenge also means to accept whatever comes your way whether it is positive or negative. Behaving like children will not help you getting more vote.

As far as voting is concerned everything is fair in love and war. The regional voting is bound to happen and it has to be accepted by everyone otherwise as vijay suggested erase the multiple voting system. Its not that only debojit got 80% vote from his regional even hema got 65% votes from south.

Himani is from Delhi but not getting higher % vote from there b'coz delhi doesnt constitute any specific region. If you stay in a building of 8 flats then each flat will be occupied by people from 8 different regions so getting sureshot votes from there is not possible. But in northeastern or for that matter southern states regionalism does take place.

But does that call for such an attitude problem amongst the contestants?

They themselves were saying that they have been staying together for last 7-8 months together and has a bond for each other then what happened to the bond with Debo why did you dictch him. If they had decided already a day before they should have said so in the begining only not afterwards or sholdnt have come only.

I believe in one thing they all are in such a big platform and are been noticed by everyone some of them have already got offers to sing in movies do they really believe that talent within them doesnt speak and the winner will only get offers.

Take the example of rahul vaidya, prajakta and amit sana they may not be winners of indian idol but are liked by everyone and are getting offers.

So request to all the contestants is that take it in a good spirit and believe in GOD and leave everything on god, one may or may not be a winner but today everyone knows you and any director who wants new voice will definately take you b'coz you are the cream of cream. And people like their favourites to be well balanced and not childish nincompoops.

Jizzy & Vijay, I agree 100% with both of you. Very logical and rational viewpoint.

I always believed this show to be the highest level of talent hunt with ae amazingly best quality of singers competiting eversince its inception.

But, the Challenge 2005 triggered a start of indisciplined atmosphere in this show which talks about all the non-sense setting aside the real Music sense.. Like the Love affair, the Topi Drama, the indisciplined and unpolished discussions between the reputed Mentors.

What happened on Jan 19th was the very obvious outcome of this format.

In my opinion, there is a turf going on between HR, AS & ID. It was a pre-planned decision imposed on the competitors by their respective Mentors to do this.

However, what they fail to remember by doing this, they have spoiled the sanctity and code of conduct of this competition, which is very hurting.

I am very disappointed about this.

I was expecting Shaan to say that, you are disrespecting the Show and the decision of the Audience. What if Debo gets 80% from his hometown? what's wrong in that. Someone said it is an All-India show and not the Assamese show but how could they forget Assam is in India. Has there been a rule that you should get atleast X% of votes from the REST Of India apart from home state then it would have been fair. But this action by the upcoming stars of tomorrow gives very very negative signal. I strongly condemn the decision taken by these three folks.

LET'S SUMMARIZE
THE MOST ORIGINAL VOICE HEMA IS STILL THERE.
HIMANI WAS THE SECOND MOST ORIGINAL VOICE.
NIHIRA WAS THE MOST PERFECT SINGER.
IN TERMS OF APPEAL PARESH HAD IT. HE CAN BE GREAT IF HE COMPOSES HIS OWN SONGS.
VINIT AT BEST IS A POOR VERSION OF SONU NIGAM
DEBU IS A GOOD GUY BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER, ONLY ONE WILL BE INDIA'S CHOICE.

FOR ME HEMA HAS ALWAYS BEEN DIFFERENT AND NO MATTER WHAT HE WILL STAND OUT WITH MUSIC DIRECTORS; DIRECTORS WILL CHOOSE ASHA BHONSLE OR SONU NIGAM RATHER THAN THE OTHER GUYS. LET'S NOT BE EMOTIONAL AND VOTE FOR THE ORIGINAL
😉

The short films shown about the contestants in which they act out roles is the 2nd most irritating part of SRGMP. Why should we watch these greenhorns (with respect to acting) perform pathetically when it is their singing we want to watch and hear? WHO WANTS TO SEE THEIR ACTING?

The 1st most irritating part is of course the begging for votes, "Please please please mujhe vote kijiye".

Dear Vijay,

I totally agreed with you. Honesty is the best policy. To tell you the true Vinit has a gifted voice and I am very sure that he will get in FIRST. If god wills. Good luck to him.

The last 3 should have been Debojit, Nihira & Hemchandra. Vinit should have been out long back. His voice quality is very soothing and could be heard only in the Indian trains while travelling thru Mulayam's state or Lalloo's state. What Lalloo is to Indian politics, Vinit is to classical singing....Both Lallo Prasad and Vinit rock ;-)

I am in Singapore so we have not seen the latest show. What we saw was Ismail Darbar walking out. To me that was just plain bad behaviour to try and pre-empt the final 3 result. He is a "mentor" and as such should have behaved in a more professional manner and not be so swayed by emotions. So if the mentor can walk out, why not the contestants. Anyway, at this point in the challenge the weak link is "Debojit" and for him to get the highest votes, speaks volumes for the voting publics' ignorance.
