does any one have SRGMP or Gajendra Singh or Zee TV's phone number? I wish to call them , and give them my "piece of mind"! Ismail Darbar...well jo is umra mein aakar bhi nahi seekhaa who aage kyaa seekhega? Ismial just had a son, when he is still "unborn" as a mature human being /music teacher. A person like him can make a comment "my music is better than AR Rahman's", then he doe snot really know much about music. 100 dhol ek saath bajane se koi AR Rahman nahin ban jaataa. 100 dolon ko ek ssath swar mein bajao, ki 100 dhol mein se sangeet nikale- jo yeh kartaa hai woh hi AR Rahman kahlaataa hai. ( wah wah wah)

I havent yet watched this episode of Hem, Himani and Vineet walking out. But i can definitly understand thier frustration. After last weeks performance, all of us thought Debojeet should be kicked out, as he was the weakest of all. And if he has been voted the most just becos of Ismail Drabaar walking out of the show... its a shame. ID should be blamed for being so rude.

In anyway case, a show like saregamapa should not be based on public votes... becos its a truly musical show... Not like Indian Idol or Fame gurukul where performance is also considered. So a day like this was already expected becos we cant expect all the guys who vote to be Music Lovers.

I feel Himani and Hemachandra are the best becos of the freshness in thier voice and versatality. No doubt, Vineet and Nihra sing very well. But we dont need another Lataji or Rafi Ji. We need some fresh and New voices in the industry.

In Summary:

1) Nihira and Himani should be proud of themselves for having achieved what they have and the success they will have in the future. They both have great voices and will be around a while in Hindi music/cinema for sure.

2) I am not dumb enough to expect a normal SaReGaMaPa anymore, but hopefully we can once again spend some time on singing and the glory of music.

3) I saw some interesting and many biased viewpoints in this thread, but they have all been interesting reading.
---ULFA - Interesting connection, but really?
---Automated voting - We can all write Java programs I guess, but I did not know this was so important to somebody
---Debo is a lesser singer than the others - They are all kids and he is a bit older, but all comparisions are relative and I am sure he will sing fine in a movie given a chance.
---Vinit, Hemachandra and Himani made amajor mistake by walking away - Come on, we live in India, don't we? Walking out is a port of life, ask our politicians. It is a form of expressing dissent, and good, bad or ugly it does make a point. And, no, it does little to decrease the star potential of any of these three - if they ever had any :)
---India and Assam - We are all Indians and feeling strongly about our states and negatively about other states is part of our national identity. It is no different from being proud of India and thinking all of Africa or US or other countries are trash. Do not abhor human nature, you are human too.
---Aadesh or Gajendra Singh set this up - Really, please come to the US and see reality television. You will understand what "staged" means.
---Aadesh and Himesh are bad people that are villainous - not every aspect of competition is subtle or elegant. All is fair in love and war... and I guess music competitions

Even if there is regional voting/politics gopign on, there are ways to prevent it from beating the voting purpose.
SRGMP could have plced rules like if you get more than 25% from a region then it is counted as 10% . But if you do get more than 15% from a region, then it is counted as 20%. There are algorithms that can be made to prevent the effects of region voting. Quesiton is will SRGMP, sponsors and people accept those algorithms for the sake of justice and talent?

Vinit, Hemachandra and Himani did right by walking out? We are young, and new generation of Indians who are shaping the world economy- where regionalism doe snot count. If it did then India will never be able to get into teh gloaabl stream- where regionalism does not count- only intelligence, education and talent does.Even if Debojit wins, he is a LOSER. And he cannot sing as well as Hema, Vinit or Himani. Suely, even though he can win this contest , he will lose the life contest- i am sure no music composer will sign him just because he won the SRGMP with BIG Help from regional votes.People will still buy songs sung by Nihira, Hema, VInit and Himani.

i agree to u that ismail darbar started all this nonsense of walking out. he is so rude towards the public. there is a way of saying things, why is he venting out nihira's vote-out on the public in such a derogatory way. did jatin-lalit crib when swananda or sharib who were such great singers were voted out. we lost himani who is such a great singer coz of the nonsense done by ismail last week. had he not done all that crap we would have had a fair result today. infact it was being felt since long that debo should have gone out earlier,but now its an insult to music and a programme of the calibre of saregama that he is in the fianl 3.

I know why thse mentors are aprtial to other gharana contestants...i think whoever wins the respecting gahrana( mentor)also get huge amount of money. 😉 ..thats why they wanted to win their contestants by hook or crook....money plays the role i think...If gajji would have done like this,compensation for all the gharans should be same whether their Shishyas won or not....Its just my guess based upon mentors attitude
