You're not the only one who prefers Himani over Nihira, I do too. I have made great friends here like Surpremi and MrspetloverUSA who will disagree with me, but apni apni choice hoti hai. I think I prefer Himani's voice more because I like that style of singing. Some may argue that her voice is not suitable for every-day playback singing, but I'm with Pooja Bhatt when she said to Himani, "You have a great voice and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!" I think she meant that Himani should not listen to people who say she is not playback material. I think Nihira sounds a little mechanical at times, but no doubt she is excellent. I truly believe both girls will do well in their careers. It's like a Lataji/Ashaji thing...Nihira is the proverbial Lataji while Himani is more like the Ashaji. nothing wrong with that. One thing is for sure sandeepa, Pooja bhatt said it sarcastically to Himani , to make people come into their senses that her voice is not fit for everyday songs. And one should understand clear politics. It was a clear way for the people to make them understand that her voice is not fit for everyday songs. But she sarcastically told it in the other way.
