I was very disappointed at her comments where she asked hamesh to support paresh because he is gujrati. She should have emphasised on the fact that paresh is UK born and raised and still intact with hindi music. Therefore should have asked whole india to support him to send message to kids abroad that it is cool to be connected to our indian music and customs rather than ask support based on regionality. I was really disgusted at her comments.

his mother seemed embarassed by the mother-in-law's comments.. but ya.. very bad of her to point at himesh and talk abt him asking the gujju's to support paresh.. but i guess she could tell..like the rest of us.. dat himesh supports vinit wayyyy more and doesn't give a damn abt paresh

she is very hyper, annoying woman. She was embarassment as a mom. Paresh's wife was there and she seemed quite nicely put together lady where as his mother-in-law was jumping up and down like a teenager. I don't think himesh need to support paresh because he is gujrati. himesh is too hung up on vinit however vinit is been praised by everyone else as well. It is not about connection among gujrati's or punjabi's or bengali's. It is about connecting with people regardless of there regionality. It is pretty pathetic for someone like myself who is raised abroad to hear such silly comment's. Himesh doesn't need to wake up however needs to be level headed and not go over board with vinit.

It might be a Gujju style of making things work. Sometime ago when lyricist Sameer (another Gujju!!!) was on the show, when the time had come for the final decision to be made, he asked HR for help and mentioned Gujju-Gujju bhai-bhai or something to that effect.

I have many gujju friends and this is not meant to incite any strong emotions... Peace...
