I never said dislike button wouldn't do that. Having dislike button is solely dependent on having the like button. It keeps things fairer that way.
Often times a post is so dumb that it does not make any sense to quote it and then say it is dumb - for example the recent trolls with so many MIDs. Having a dislike button will save time in such instances.

the problem is that sab log seedhe nahin hote na .. If rules have been made , there are some that will always follow them , there are others that will vow to never follow them and there are others like Gauri mentioned who just for the heck of it will like to do dhoom dhadaka on the forum .
Either have both the buttons or eliminate both of them . Waise bhi you can reply and state your opinion is paar ya us paar .

There must be a way to 'unlike' a post - that's pretty fair!
It happened sometime back on another forum when the poster wrote something I liked and then in the comments went a complete 'merry-go-round' ; couldn't 'unlike' 😔

You can score the posts too. Can give 0/10 if you hate the post and give 10/10 if you absolutely love it. can give 2/10, 3/10, 4/10 etc depending on How much you like it. The good things is you will feel like a Teacher scoring posts and the bad thing will be the post writer will feel like a student.😆

It will be nice to add the "Dislike" button along with the "Like" button. True the "Dislike" button will offend some members, but it is not fair to have just the "Like" button.

It will be still a better offence than what we have seen here.

😊 I completly agree with the OP and in fact I am advocating for a three button system..........
Like, Dislike, Could Care less............😊 There are some posts which I like, some which I dislike and many which I could care less about.....😊 Post about Sriram singing for Narnia, I like........Post about Ali Sher being the next boy wonder, I dislike...........Post about origin of sufiism, I could care less about.........😊
