Why are you taking forum, member's comment or members so seariously. It will give more headache than calmness. Assume the forum as railway platform. Aao, likho, padho aor ghar jaao. Most important button is the "Submit" button and we have that.

Any way let me ask couple question:
What is the significance of "Like" or 'Dislike" buttons?
Does it make any difference to forum or its functioning?

i think it hinders it actually, but if we must have a button, i'd rather have a like than a dislike. better to discuss why you don't agree with a post than to just dislike it. also, people can take to you mean people dislike them

If like button can form herds so does unlike can form gangs.every button has pros and cons.
Button is not the issue it the PERSON using the BUTTON.So it is We who have to use it appropriately.

The issue with like visible to everyone creates a assumption on many member's part that the person who hit like button they not only loved that particular post but are part of the click...I wish Mods would make "Like" annonymous...
Not always you agree or love that post but part of it u just like the way they write...😃

My eyes are full of mastani yes lol
If the issue with the like button is that it can be used to support other "clique" members then how would having a "dislike" feature be any better?
A dislike button would be used to gang up on a post, not just because of the post alone but because they are against the member who posted it. You would have people ganging up on one person.
So you decide, is it better for multiple people to SUPPORT a person or for multiple people to GANG UP on a person? I still don't understand how a dislike button would be better, you're actually doing worse than what you're preaching.
LIKE this if you LIKE this people! lol 😳

are you saying that a "dislike" button wouldn't do that? 😕
